We are excited to announce that Mary Beth Fischer has been appointed as the principal of Midland Crossing Elementary, our newest elementary school, set to open in August 2026.

Mary Beth has been the principal of Maple Glen Elementary since 2017, where she has demonstrated exceptional leadership and a strong commitment to our students and community. Her experience, passion for education, and dedication to student success make her the ideal choice to lead Midland Crossing Elementary.

As a Westfield resident, Mary Beth is deeply invested in our schools, and we are confident that her leadership will help make Midland Crossing Elementary a place where all students thrive.

We invite you to sit down with our keynote speakers, Kristin and Chris Ballard, as they share insight on how parents can support their children. Dave Randich, a professor at the Purdue Business School and a former senior executive, will facilitate the Executive Communication breakout session.

Each month, incoming Superintendent Dr. John Atha is inviting community members to Westfield High School to chat with him about anything on their minds. Learn about how the district operates from a chief executive or ask questions about upcoming construction projects.

On February 5, elementary schools across the district participated in Global School Play Day, a day dedicated to unstructured, screen-free play. Students joined in on the fun with a variety of activities designed to encourage creativity, social interaction, and developmental growth. This special day provided an opportunity for students to build friendships, explore their imaginations, and create lasting memories!

The Rocks made history last Saturday, claiming Westfield’s first-ever regional championship! They secured the title with a 50-point lead over second place and are now gearing up for semi-state this upcoming Saturday. Best of luck, Shamrocks!

The Westfield Girls Swim and Dive team had a strong showing at sectionals, finishing second with 408 points and advancing all 30 athletes to finals. Several swimmers secured top-eight finishes, with multiple swimmers heading to state finals this weekend. The team is also celebrating a new school record in the 100 Fly by Evie Wheat. Good luck, Shamrocks!

FCCLA Foodies Rock is a fully functioning foodservice operation that is student centered and fostered through the Westfield High School Culinary Arts program. Foodies Rock holds a Food Permit by the Hamilton County Board of Health, Advisors Nikki Heflin and Bryan Ferreira are ServSafe Manager certified, and will follow the National Restaurant Association’s Guidelines for food preparation. Even amidst the rapid growth in Westfield, the Westfield Education Foundation continues its mission of supporting students by awarding scholarships to graduating seniors, with 10% of the Class of 2024 receiving scholarships. Westfield Washington Township is offering Safe Sitter classes! Safe Sitter is a medically accurate childcare curriculum that gives young adolescents the skills to be safe, nurturing babysitters. Mrs. White will teach important life skills- business, medical and safe habits- in this high quality course. Babysitters know how to keep children safe and how to respond in an emergency. Graduates will receive a Safe Sitter certification. Please bring a sack lunch. These classes fill up quickly so don't delay!
