Halloween at Riverview!
October 31, 2024
Parade: Starts at 2:40 with Kindergarten and all other grades will be joining throughout the school and will exit the building on the west side of the building by our 1st grade. Students will then parade for families on the west side of the building by the outdoor classroom stairs and will enter the building through the west side cafeteria doors. Families will not enter the building at the front doors, but instead will head on back to the west side to see students in the parade.
Costumes: No masks, gore, weapons. K-4 are not wearing their costumes during the day until the parade/party. 5-8 can wear the basics of their costumes during the day and add accessories later.
Classroom Parties: We are happy to have up to 4 parent volunteers for classroom parties, volunteers must be cleared through our VITAL volunteer system. Teachers will be reaching out soon!
All elementary and middle school students are eligible to take this season's written spelling test which determines the finalists who will compete at the 28th Annual District Spelling Bee. The top 25 scores on the written tests for each division, elementary and middle school, will advance to the in-person District Spelling Bee, scheduled for January 25, 2025. To participate, students complete the Sign Up Form no later than October 30.
