Ski Program
We are looking forward to the Ski Program starting up today!
Ski equipment should be dropped off each Friday morning between 7:30 am and 7:55 am. If there is a delayed opening due to weather, drop off will be between 9:30-9:55 am. Please bring your equipment to the gym parking lot on the left side of the school. Your equipment will be stored in the ski storage room next to the health room. All equipment will be locked up during the school day. Please do not use the front entrance to bring in your equipment. Also, don't forget to label your equipment and bags! Families who are driving their child to the mountain should not bring their equipment to school.
When students are dismissed in the afternoon, they will report to the equipment room to gather their things and then board the buses. It has always been our practice to dismiss Ski Program students before our regular dismissal time. This year, many families will be driving students to the mountain. These students will be dismissed at the same time as ski bus riders. However, their equipment will not be at school. Families driving to the mountain should park in the upper (third) parking lot. Students will meet you there around 2:20. This will help avoid traffic congestion with school dismissal.
** In the event that school is cancelled on a ski day, Mr. Pantano will reach out with the plan for skiing.
Please email Mr. Pantano with any questions: pepperellski@gmail.com

🏀 Basketball season is here at NMS! Come cheer on our teams and show your school spirit. Remember, positive behavior is a must at all games to ensure a fun and supportive environment for everyone. Tickets are $5 for adults and $2 for students and seniors. Let’s make it a great season – Go Patriots!
Grade 8 Yearbook
Grade 8 Families:
The Yearbook Team needs your help to complete the yearbook.
BABY PICTURES
Baby pictures are due today! You can now just upload your students' pictures directly to the site. Please label the picture with your student's full name as the name of the file. Each picture will be in the yearbook. Use this link! Yearbook Baby Picture
BUDDY PICTURES
The yearbook will be taking “Buddy Pictures” as a way to raise money to reduce the overall cost of the yearbook. If you want a buddy picture taken with your friends, please fill out the form located on Mrs. Larochelle’s bulletin board outside room 243. Return the form and money to Mrs. Larochelle by Friday, January 10. The cost is $1.00 per person per picture, and you may be in more than one picture. You will be notified with a time to have your picture taken.
PARENT MESSAGES
Please take this opportunity to personalize your child’s yearbook by including a special, brief message from yourself, grandparents, and/or siblings. The cost for each message is $5.00 that will help reduce the overall cost of the yearbook for the students. You can pay by cash or check, payable to Nissitissit Middle School. Message and money should be returned in an envelope labeled to Mrs. Larochelle. Last day for messages is January 10, 2025! DON’T WAIT! You can email the message to mlarochelle@nmrsd.org.
Book Recommendations
This week we highlight the book, "Refugee" by Alan Gratz. This selection is recommended to us by seventh grade ELA teacher, Mrs. Paris.
Notes from the Nurse
RSV, Covid and Flu rates are beginning to rise. Please keep your child home if they are not feeling well, call the absent line and follow up with their pediatrician. The following chart can provide some guidance according to symptoms. Here are the district’s guidelines for respiratory illnesses.
