REMINDERS
World's Finest Chocolate Fundraiser Launch Feb. 5th
Thank you for supporting our World's Finest Chocolate fundraiser! This is our primary funding source for our APT and the money is used to support our students through fun activities, as well as items for their classrooms. We recognize that parents play a large role in any fundraiser and thank you for your support.
Please take note of the attached flyer. We DO NOT need to collect taxes, and checks can be made payable to Savannah Grove Elementary APT.
Real Men Read - Feb. 7th
Real Men Read is a time for men from the community to come to our school, enjoy refreshments and a short time of fellowship, and then read a book to one of our classes. This event will be held on February 7, from 7:30-8:30 in the morning. Thank you for supporting our students by showing them that Real Men Read! Refreshments will be sponsored by Waffle House from 7:30-8:00.
Please RSVP by Wednesday, Feb. 5th. Email Cherisse Thayer, Literacy Coach at SGES, at cherisse.thayer@fsd1.org or calling the school at 843-664-8463.
DROP - OFF AND PICK – UP
- Please keep the car rider name(s) visible in the front window until your child is loaded.
- When traveling in the school’s parking lot please be aware of your speed; often times, our students are less than attentive at arrival and dismissal. This seems especially true at dismissal time in the car line.
- Please stay off your cell phones while driving on campus.
- When dropping off at the school, please pull as far forward as possible. Also, please have students exit from the right-hand side of the car whenever possible.
- Please continue to turn right when leaving the car line to help with traffic flow.
LET'S GET SOCIAL
We will continue utilizing our Instagram and Facebook Page this year to showcase all our positive school wide activities. The intent of this forum is to maintain a positive school climate and promote the great things happening at Savannah Grove Elementary. Please do not use our social media page to share concerns or complaints. As always, please contact Principal Copeland directly at 843-269-2563 or stop by for a face to face conversation if/when concerns arise.
