November 2024
Windsor Families,
Happy Thanksgiving! We are so grateful that we get to get to work with your children every day. I hope you have a relaxing week filled with family.
We had November Dens yesterday, the topic was gratitude. Students filled a gratitude jar with their group. First grade created balloon floats like you see in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and today they showed them off in their Balloons Over Broadway Parade, our students lined the halls to see their parade!
This week was allergy awareness week at Windsor. Students learned about allergies in their LMC classes, as well as watched a video with some of our very own students sharing what it is like living with food allergies. Link to video is below. On Wednesday, we had a virtual author visit from the book Allergic. The students were very engaged and asked a lot of good questions!

Lions club donation box
Hello Windsor Families!
We are collecting used eyeglasses, hearing aids, cell phones and key fabs for the Lions Club. The Lions club gives our district so much support to our school by providing eye exams and glasses to families who need them in our district. Let's return the support by recycling the things we don't use anymore and donate them to the Lions club. The collection box is in the Windsor Front door vestibule and will remain there until the Winter Holiday break.
Thank you!

REPEAT INFORMATION
Family Survey
We love to celebrate all of the wonderful cultures and languages at Windsor. Please provide us with information about your family's culture so that we can celebrate YOU! This information will be shared in your child's classroom and we will also mark on the world map in our Commons where all of our Windsor families are from.
Feel free to complete this optional survey:
Notes from the Nurse
Elementary school is a time of spills and accidents. Please help the health office by packing a spare change of clothes in your students backpack in a gallon size ziplock bag. This should include:
Pants
Socks
Underwear
Shirt
This also helps your student since they feel most comfortable in their own clothes. As the school year progresses please make sure their clothes still fit and are weather appropriate. If you have any concerns or questions please reach out!
Thank you,
Darlene Carpenter
