Attention students, if you are interested in participating in dual enrollment for the Spring semester, you should have already scheduled an advisement appointment with your counselor. If you have not, YOU MUST MEET WITH YOUR COUNSELOR NO LATER THAN MONDAY DECEMBER 16, 2024, to participate in the Spring.

Class of 2025 Scholarship Opportunity
Greetings Class of 2025 and Parents:
Please see below a scholarship opportunity for High School Students considering college for Marine Science/Marine Biology. The due date is February 1. This scholarship is through the Georgia Aquarium in Dr. Brian Davis's honor for high school seniors. What an incredible legacy.
Marshland Credit Union
We are excited to open our scholarship to your students in the approaching New Year. Marshland Credit Union will be awarding five (5) $2,500 scholarships to individuals entering higher education in 2025. These scholarships are available to students pursuing any form of post-secondary education, including college, university, and trade schools.
Scholarship Details:
- Award Amount: 5 scholarships of $2,500 each
- Eligibility: Open to individuals entering higher education in 2025
- Application Opens: January 1, 2025
- Application Deadline: March 3, 2025

Horatio Alger Association
The association awards 4 students with a $25,000 National Scholarship and 50 students with a $10,000 scholarship from the state of Georgia. The Horatio Alger Association seeks to provide scholarship assistance to deserving students who have demonstrated integrity, determination in overcoming adversity, academic potential, the personal aspiration to make a unique contribution to society, strength of character and financial need.
The application deadline is March 1, 2025.
Key criteria for qualification:
Enrolled as a full time high school junior
Exhibit a strong commitment to pursue and complete a bachelor’s degree
Demonstrate financial need ($65,000 or lower adjusted gross family income is required)
Display integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity
Be involved in extracurricular and/ or community service activities
Maintain a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0
Be a United States Citizen

Immunization Audit
Just a friendly reminder that our deadline for the Immunization Audit is quickly approaching. Please ensure that your 11th grader has an updated unexpired Immunization form turned into the Nurses by December 19th. The Coastal District Health Department has been in contact with us, and they would like for you to know that they have appointments available. Please congratulate the wrestlers for winning the Battle at Bryan Team Tournament this past Saturday! We finished the day with five wins defeating Grovetown, Emanual County, Bryan County, Savannah Country Day, and New Hampstead. This brings our overall team record to 12(wins)-1(loss) for the first half of the season.
