We are officially in the groove! Our classrooms are alive with learning, collaboration, and all the excitement that comes with settling into a fresh new school year. We hope your children are feeling that same spark at home!
This week in our Back-to-School Mass, we read the famous "Love is patient, love is kind" letter of St. Paul to the Corinthians. In these first few weeks of school, we take those words to heart, as we strive to create a space where love and kindness shape everything we do.
Sometimes we need a little reminder to let go of anything that gets in the way of that love, patience and kindness. Fun fact: this week in history, Taylor Swift dropped her famous "Shake It Off" single! What a perfect reminder to shake off our challenges and negativity and focus on the positivity and love that surrounds us.
Speaking of love, did you see yesterday's "Puppy Love" story on NBC 10? Former student, Alex Flowers started his own non-profit called "The Best Day Ever." The organization gives older and sick dogs a last chance at having the best day. To see the news feature, click here!
As we look ahead to the upcoming week, I look forward to seeing many of you at the SKS Classic Dinner! As you know, the event proceeds will directly impact our school, helping us bridge the gap between our tuition dollars and expenses.
