A Note From Kai
This upcoming week is BUSY! Here are some things to note - scroll down for more details.
Sunday - don't miss PTO's Pizza and Games Event in our Media Center
Tuesday - We have a meeting for all Upper El students and parents to talk about what 6th grade looks like at RFPME
Tuesday - Parent Ed Montessori Magic - in honor of Act 20, we will be looking at Montessori literacy/language development and ways to support your reader at home
All Week - please take five minutes to complete the Strategic Plan Survey from the Gov Board
Independence is a cornerstone of the Montessori philosophy. Montessori was famously quoted to say, 'Never help a child a task at which they feel they can succeed'. Support and encourage your child to do things for themselves! With this in mind, there are so many ways to help your child help themself...
- carry their own back pack
- get dressed/ready for day
- do their own laundry
- help make dinner
- pack backpack
- call a friend for a playdate
- save money
- load/unload dishwasher
- take dishes to the sink after a meal
- set the table
Looking forward to seeing you on Tuesday evening!
Best,
Kai
