November Newsletter - Nurse's Nook
Nurse's Nook
Dear Parents / Guardians,
Flu Season is Here!
The flu season typically starts in October, so now is the perfect time to consider getting your flu
vaccine. The flu vaccine is the best way to protect yourself and others from the flu. Please
contact your healthcare provider or local pharmacy to schedule your flu shot if you haven't
already.
Handwashing Awareness
With the colder months approaching, germs can spread quickly. We are reinforcing
handwashing habits with students to help prevent illness. Please remind your child about the
importance of washing their hands with soap and water especially after using the bathroom
and before eating.
Physicals and Dental Forms
If you haven't submitted your child's physical and dental forms, please do so as soon as
possible. These forms are crucial for ensuring the health and safety of our students. If your
child is due for a physical or dental checkup, please make an appointment with your healthcare provider and submit the completed forms to the nurse's office.
Important Reminders:

Reminder about snacks and food brought to school
As we prioritize the health and safety of all students at CAP, we kindly remind you to consider allergies when sending snacks and food to school with your child. Allergies to common ingredients such as peanuts, tree nuts, dairy, and gluten can pose serious risks to students with sensitivities. We encourage you to choose snacks that are free from common allergens or provide alternative options that accommodate diverse dietary needs. By working together, we can create a safe and inclusive environment where all students can enjoy snack time without worry. Thank you for your cooperation and support in keeping our school community safe.
