Orchestra Uniform Return
Once your student is done with UIL please take steps to clean your student's uniform.
Guys: take attire to a Dry Cleaner, when you pick up ask them to staple the receipt to the bag
Ladies: You can machine wash soft cycle, but DO NOT put in dryer, please hang
If your student is returning next year and want to keep their uniform, they just need to let the Booster parents know when signing in items.
Booster Parents will check that everything signed out is signed back in.
- Students with missing items will be put on the Admin Holds list for final exams and graduation.
Orchestra Banquet
Our Orchestra Banquet is on Saturday, 5/10 from 6-10pm. Tickets are $25 and will be sold on the Orchestra website. You can purchase your tickets here!
Our Orchestra Banquet theme this year is Enchantment Under the Sea!
The end of the year Orchestra Banquet is a formal event, students are dressed up in formal attire. We will have catered dinner from Cotton Culinary, DJ and dancing, photobooth and much more! Family and friends are invited! Everyone will need to purchase a ticket ahead of time (ticket cut off date TBA) to enter into the Banquet.
We will announce the 2025-26 Student Officer Leadership Team at the Banquet and distribute end of the year awards.
Skate Night!
Our spring semester Skate Night is on Saturday, 4/12 5:30-7:30pm at the Mason Skate Center.
This event is for MRHS students as well as MRJH, MDJH, and KJH. High school students can bring friends, everyone must purchase the $22 entry fee.

Senior Plans for Spring Concert, Social Media Tribute, Rehearsals
Senior Parents, we want to help celebrate and honor your student for all of their incredible work in Fine Arts while at Morton Ranch HS! Can you please help your student upload three photos:
1) Baby Photo
2) Junior High Photo (with instrument if have one)
3) Senior Photo (with instrument if have one)
Seniors, please fill in the rest of this information. We need ALL of our 21 seniors to make sure this is completed by Friday, April 18th.
Senior parents, during our Spring Orchestra Concert we will ask parents to come up to the stage for our Senior Farewell Ceremony. Just want to give everyone a heads up for photos. Seniors will wear something nice and formal while all other students on the spring concert will wear their Orchestra t-shirt, jeans and sneakers.

Our spring semester Car Wash is at the same location as the fall semester - Brookshire Brothers
8:30am-2:30pm. The address is: 5249 Franz Rd.
All students should take either a morning AM (8:30-11:30am) or afternoon PM (11:30-2:30pm) shift.
We need at least 10 parents for each shift to ensure our students are safe from moving vehicles and have supervision at all times.
We will have breakfast for the AM shift and lunch for PM shift. Please wear clothes appropriate for a car wash, something that will get wet and a change of clothes, hats, sunscreen, sunglasses, bug spray, etc...
Please make sure the AM shift helps with setup and PM shift does not leave until everything is cleaned up and put away back on the trailer.
Mariachi News
Mariachi Concert
Thursday, April 24th at 7 pm in the PAC

The month of April has our Mariachi concert : "Cuando el Mariachi suena el mundo canta" as a highlight. Both groups are in the process of memorizing music, we will start choreography next week, please help us monitor that your child practices every day.
On March the 27th and April the 1st our students from Mariachi El Torito Bravo and Luna de Jalisco had the great opportunity to work with Mr. Jose Longoria; Mariachi Director at the University of Houston as well as the professional group Mariachi Imperial. Mr Longoria is a well recognized Mariachi performer and Educator who has been awarded at the Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza and many other places.
Students will continue rehearsals on Tuesdays 3:00 to 4:30 Torito and 4:35 to 5:35 Luna with some extra ones for Luna on Fridays . If extra time is needed for Torito, we will inform parents in the next following weeks.
Junior High stays on Mondays 5:00pm to 6:00 pm
The week of the concert all students must report to the PAC Tuesday the 22nd and Wednesday the 23rd from 3:00 to 6:00 pm for dress rehearsals.
Just like last year we want to fill the PAC. We are kindly asking every family to bring at least 10 or more guests to support our students and have a great time together enjoying great Mariachi music.
Mariachi Luna has a special performance on April the 10th between 5 and 7 at Legacy Stadium please keep checking the schedule for updates.
All rented instruments must be returned the day after the concert on April the 25th.
Mariachi Luna old black trajes must be dry cleaned and returned as soon as possible.
Auditions will be after the Orchestra Concert at the end of May, stay tuned for details.
Thank you once again for supporting Mariachi Education and for sharing with us this beautiful art tradition, cant wait to see you all at the concert.
