We are wrapping up the school year and preparing our students for a restful summer break! We will be sending out a packet in June, which will be discussed in our June Parent meeting. This packet will have pages for students to work on and a calendar to help pace them out to be able to complete the packet efficiently. The bonus this summer will be students are able to turn in their packet on the first week of school and if completed accordingly they will be able to participate in a school celebration called "SUMMER PACKET HUSKY ACHIEVERS"! Please be on the look-out for the June Parent Meeting and the packet that will be sent out on the last week of school:)

CHECK-OUT NEW BREAKFAST MENU:
SEASON OF COLD AND FLU:
STUDENTS WHO ARE BRINGING TECHNOLOGY WITH THEM TO SCHOOL PLEASE REMEMBER:
All hardware capable of video or recording are prohibited during school hours due to FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) Law. e.g. cell phones, technology watches, ipads; Students who have these devices will be asked to place them in their lockers.
FIELD TRIPS:
Due to the responsibilities and limited transportation, we cannot allow families to take their little ones, who are still at home, on any class field trips. Each location classes go on field trips to have different guidelines and it will be difficult for our teachers to be able to accept non-Hillcrest students attending these field trips. So if your student is attending a field trip and you are invited to be a chaperone, only you and the student can attend. We appreciate your understanding.
ATTENDANCE REMINDERS, PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:
Regular attendance at school is crucial to students’ academic success. Presence in the classroom, either in person or virtually, allows students to participate in class instruction and discussion, exposing them to group interactions with teachers and other students. State law requires “continuous and consecutive” school attendance for the entire school year for children 6 to 18 years old.
If you need to pick-up your child early from school, please make sure to contact the office by 11:00a.m.! This will provide the teacher time to prepare work and gather your child's things. Work will not be given if no phone call made ahead of time to the office, your child will receive the class work the next day or when they return to school. Your child will not be released after 3:00 p.m.. if a phone call was not made before 11:00 a.m.
We appreciate your cooperation with this matter!
PLEASE REMIND YOUR CHILD REGARDING--Restroom Etiquette at Hillcrest:
We at Hillcrest have been working hard to help our huskies grow into responsible and respectful individuals. We had shared our expectations at the beginning of the school year regarding how to utilize all areas of the building as it is not one individual utilizing the building but all staff and students as a whole. We kindly ask that you speak with your child regarding proper restroom etiquette. In order to continue maintaining restrooms in a sanatory condition, we would appreciate your support with this matter. As we get closer to colder temperatures lets work together to keep germs away. There will be consequences for those who intentionally misuse their restroom privileges. Thank you!
