The safety of all students, staff, and visitors on our campus is of the utmost importance. To that end, Channelview ISD ensured that over the Christmas break, the front office area was redesigned for the protection of all stakeholders who may be on campus.

The CISDEF Teacher Innovative Grant is designed to support Channelview ISD K-12 educators who are seeking to implement innovative teaching methods and learning experiences in their classrooms. This grant aims to foster creativity, enhance student engagement, and improve learning outcomes. $250 grants will be awarded to deserving educators during the convocation proceedings in August 2024.

Jennifer Thurik, English teacher, was recognized at the CISD Convocation by Mr. Jason Bailey, President of the CISDEF for her "innovative ideas to help spark a learning spirit in [her] classroom" with a CISDEF Teacher Innovation Grant in the amount of $250!

Mrs. Thurik will use the camera to produce images for the campus digital media, graduation photos, and her students will complete a project where they take photos for various assignments throughout the year that they will use in their classroom writing activities.

For the protection of our students, food deliveries and visitors who are not on a student's emergency contact list are not allowed during lunch. Along with students having an option for a free lunch, there are microwave ovens available in the cafeteria for students to use. Milk and fruit are available to students who bring their own lunch at no charge.

The following is needed for a student to drive to Endeavor:

• A valid Texas driver's license
  
• Proof of liability on your vehicle
  
• A parking permit issued from Endeavor

Students who drive to school without a license run the risk of receiving a citation from our campus Constable and will not be allowed to drive off of the campus with their vehicle. See Mrs. Barrientos in the front office for a permit.

Both the SAT and the ACT are nationally administered, standardized tests that help schools evaluate your application and see how prepared you are for college courses. The SAT and ACT generally cover the same topics. Both ACT and SAT scores are used for college admissions decisions and awarding merit-based scholarships. Most colleges do not prefer one test over the other. Neither the SAT nor ACT is harder than the other. Different students tend to do better on one test than the other.
