MIDWEEK UPDATES
Good morning Barbieri Families,
We hope you are all doing well! We have a month filled with many exciting events! Please read the dates to remember below to stay informed.
We are proud to announce that this evening we will have our fabulous 5th grade Hawk Helpers facilitate K tours for families of incoming K students. We will have incoming K families begin their visit with a brief presentation from admiistration and then they will venture off to explore our school with student leaders as tour guides.
In this newsletter please note MCAS testing dates for all students in grade 3-5 for Spring 2024. Lastly, don't forget to join us at the end of the month in support of the Barbieri Drama Club as they present, The Wizard of Oz!
Gracias a todos! Que tengan una linda semana!
Maria
CUPS!!!🥤
We will no longer distribute cups. We are encouraging all students to bring in a water bottle to school daily. However, if a student is not able to do so or forgets, they will still be able to access water fountains around our school. Students do not need a cup to access a water fountain. The water fountains are made for students to be able to drink from them. If students are not comfortable with this then please send them in with a water bottle.

Message from Framingham Public Schools Health and Wellness
We all need to do our part to ensure safe, healthy, and welcoming school environments for all. It is everyone’s responsibility to prevent the spread of COVID-19 as well as common winter illnesses, such as influenza, stomach viruses, and colds in order to protect the health of our students, staff, and community members.
Below are guidelines to help families decide when it is necessary to stay home. If an individual is experiencing any of the following symptoms, we ask parents to keep your child home, and for employees to stay home, for 24 hours after symptoms resolve:
Guidelines for Keeping Sick Children Home From School
Fever – Children should remain at home with a fever greater than 100 degrees. They can return to school after they’ve been fever-free for 24 hours (without fever-reducing medicine such as Tylenol (Acetaminophen) and Motrin/Advil (Ibuprofen).
Diarrhea/Vomiting – Children with diarrhea and/or vomiting should stay at home and return to school only after being symptom-free for 24 hours.
Conjunctivitis – Following a diagnosis of conjunctivitis, children may return to school in 24 hours.
Rashes – Common infectious diseases with rashes are most contagious in the early stages. A child with a suspicious rash should return to school only after a healthcare provider has made a diagnosis and authorized the child’s return to school.
Colds – Consider keeping your child at home if they are experiencing discomfort from cold symptoms, such as nasal congestion and cough. A continuous green discharge from the nose may be a sign of infection. Consider having the child seen by your healthcare provider
