Last Day to Wear Shorts
October 31st is the last day students are allowed to wear shorts, or skirts without leggings/tights. Beginning Friday, all students must wear pants, or for the girls, must wear leggings or tights under their uniform skirts. If you have questions on our uniform policy, you can find our dress code here.
Parents in grades PreK-2nd, this is a good time to switch out the extra set of clothes kept in your child's backpack, to be sure they have everything they may need if they have a bathroom accident here at school.

⛄ Sign Up for School Related Weather Alerts
As we approach our winter season, it is important for all families to sign up with Remind to be informed of unexpected changes in the school schedule due to weather, or other important announcements. In addition to using Remind, we also send out an email from the school, and post the information on our social media pages and will also be listed on KWWL.
Our weather policy is posted as “Weather Announcements” under the Quick Links on the home page of the school website.
Through the Remind alert notification system, parents can sign up for text alerts, push notifications (when you download the Remind app), or emails.
If you are new to St Patrick School, or have not signed up in the past, text @cd4he to 81010. If you're having trouble with 81010, text @cd4he to (619) 450-1267. For emails only, go to rmd.at/cd4he on a computer to sign up for email notifications. You do not need to sign up again if you've signed up before.
*A test alert went out on Wednesday, Oct. 23. If you signed up and did not receive the alert, please check your Remind account, or contact the office.
Uniform Apparel Store
Our St Patrick Apparel Store is open year round online through Iowa Sports Supply. With pants weather here from now until April, now is a great time to think about fall uniform apparel, especially crewneck sweatshirts. Click here to view our online store to order items. Please note that turn around time for ISS is about 3-4 weeks, so now is the time to order!
Volunteer Night at the NE Iowa Food Bank
All families are welcome!
St. Patrick School has a long standing tradition of family volunteer nights at the Northeast Iowa Food Bank. This year, we are hoping to get involvement back up to pre-COVID levels, but we need your help. The food bank always has great volunteer jobs for us to do that are age-appropriate for our students and give you the opportunity as parents to teach your kids about why the food bank is critical to our community.
Please join us on the 2nd Tuesday of each month (except March) this school year from 6-7:30pm. This is a great way also for the 5th-8th graders to complete their required service hours.
We are limited to 30 spots, so if you are interested, please contact me, Erin Youngblut, at erinyoungblut@gmail.com to register.
