Family Update

We held grade level meetings with students on October 23rd to level-set for the second quarter. During the meetings we talked about horseplay, behavior in the hallways and preparation for the future. We also shared consequences for making poor choices. Please talk with your student about the meeting and being accountable for their actions. We will also hold grade level meetings for the students who are consistently making good choices next quarter.

Students who are House point leaders for quarter 1 will be receiving yard signs to place at their homes for a week. Staff will deliver and pick up the signs. If you live at a residence that is not conducive for a yard sign you can place it in your window, your students room or any place you feel is appropriate. We want to celebrate your student for their hard work!

During the last week of 1st quarter, our 8 houses competed and came together to support a great cause. Students donated hundreds of pennies, nickels, and dimes for hurricane relief. We are pleased to say that we were able to donate $822.24 to the American Red Cross. Thank you to all who participated and the MSW PTO for helping to sponsor this school wide endeavor. We look forward to holding more service projects in the future with our students!

8th grade science is looking for as many empty full size Pringle containers and empty 2 liter bottles as we can collect from now until April for some projects we will be doing!
