Week of June 2, 2025 - June 4, 2025
Check out our NEWEST Mural! Designed & painted by 8th grade Viper Artists!
Greetings, Viper Community!
As our 2024-2025 school year comes to a close, on behalf of the VMMS teachers and staff...THANK YOU for a fantastic year. We are so proud of all our Vipers and their accomplishments this academic year.
Our Vipers have had so many wonderful opportunities to
ENGAGE.BELONG.ACHIEVE. & DESIGN.
A signature culminating experience this week was our Summer Kick-Off Viper Rally brought to us by our fabulous ASB. This celebration is the epitome of our 4 pillars. Our Viper spring sports teams were celebrated, village games were in full effect, and our Viper Cheer and Soccer teams did a joint dance performance.
See a few fun videos HERE & HERE that capture our Viper Pride & Spirit at it's best!
For our Viper families leaving VMMS, we wish you and your Viper all the best in upcoming adventures and success ahead. Once a Viper, Always a Viper!
For all our returning Viper families, we will see you during our scheduled VMMS Registration Days for the 2025-2026 school year. Please save the date for the following grade level registration days:
August 4 (6th grade)
August 5 (7th grade)
August 6 (8th grade)

The Yearbook elective class was NEW this year! This special elective is offered after school as a 9th period for all grades in 6th-8th. This course utilizes IB Visual Arts Criteria to support students in learning about photography and journalism. Vipers should consider applying for this awesome opportunity in the upcoming school year!

EPIC Reminders for All VIPERS
Even as the school days are numbered, it is important that all Vipers are contributing to a safe and positive end of the year. Every day counts and the small things matter. All Vipers need to remember to follow the EPIC behavior expectations by:
- Wearing lanyards and IDs
- Following our dress code & keeping prohibited items at home i.e. toys
- Utilizing technology appropriately
- Keeping cell phones and ear buds off and away
- Maintaining respectful and kind behavior towards peers & adults
*IMPORTANT Reminder: Vipers should not bring food to share at lunch (potlucks of cupcakes/chips/candy, etc.), student group "parties" at lunch are not permitted. Students that bring these items to school will need to leave them in the office for a parent pick up. Save personal celebrations after school and off campus.
Parents/Guardians, please refrain from sending food delivery services i.e. Doordash, Uber Eats to campus. This is not something our office can manage, nor it is safe to introduce unknown individuals to our school.
We thank you ALL for supporting our VMMS school community guidelines.
Important AM/PM Information
Vista Unified is proud to offer expanded learning opportunities for students in grades TK-8 through our Comprehensive AM-PM Program.
The purpose of Vista Unified’s AM-PM Program is to provide academic support, fun enrichment activities and positive peer interactions within a physically and emotionally safe environment. We provide quality, safe and enriching programs before and after school at our 15 elementary schools and 5 middle schools, serving TK-8th grade. Our professional staff provide a safe and supportive environment where the children can have fun, learn and make new friendships. Lastly, we will continue to work closely with our families, knowing that strong communication and teamwork is always in the best interest of our children.
Expanded learning refers to before school, after school, and summer learning experiences that focus on developing the academic, social, emotional, and physical needs and interests of students through hands-on, engaging learning experiences.
