Congratulations to Linda Fruge'! Mrs. Fruge' was voted for by staff, students, and parents for her dedication to her classroom and students. Mrs. Fruge' has been teaching for 7 years and is such a FANTASTIC role model to other teachers and students. Mrs. Fruge' is very honored that an elective teacher was chosen for this prestigious honor!

This January edition of the Counselor's Corner newsletter is full of information regarding course selection for the 2020 - 2021 school year, School Board appreciation, high school counselor contacts and much more! Thank you for all for your continued support!

Congratulations to 8th graders Gentry Lumpkin and Michon Lott on their acceptance into Houston's prestigious Kinder High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.

The first meeting of the Girls Who Code club met this month and discussed coding languages and practiced tutorials. Members of this groups will begin to learn how to use coding languages to build websites, games and apps!

Mrs. Fruge's Principles of AV students helping Mr. Kollister (the Supreme Thinker) film "Math Minutes". Math Minutes are intended to allow students to practice STAAR skills before the STAAR test this year. Students love seeing the "Math Minute" during daily broadcasts.

8th grade science classes created videos, Google sites, and posters all about some of the biggest environmental changes. Students are able to feel like real scientists as they create their presentations and conduct their research!
