As we finished Marking Period 2, we have much to look forward to during Marking Period 3. Staff and students are busy putting together a great program for Black History Month. Students continue to be involved in many after school activities. Student report cards will be mailed home beginning February 9th. We encourage all parents to speak with their child about their grades and academic goals for this upcoming marking period.
Thank you,

New Health Curriculum Offers Parents A Choice
The Comprehensive Health and Physical Education program is a mandate from the New Jersey State Department of Education. This mandatory program is part of all New Jersey public schools. It is designed to assist students in developing the skills necessary to make healthy and responsible decisions.
We encourage families to have their students participate in all the essential health topics offered in the different units. We do want you to be aware of the sexuality education instruction just in case it conflicts with conscience, moral, or religious beliefs. We want you to review the unit outlines at:
https://www.nbpschools.net/physical-education-health
Upon review, if you feel there is a conflict with conscience, morals, of religious beliefs, please fill out an "exclusion form". On the form please indicate units from the sexuality education part of the program you want to option out of. The choices are, units 5,6, or 7 for fourth and fifth grades and unit 4 for sixth through eighth grades. Contact Mr. Miller, Family Liaison, for "exclusion forms".
