HOMECOMING PEP RALLIES

• AHS Pep Rally on Fri, 9/20 after morning rehearsal
• LFC Pep Rally on Thurs, 9/19 during second period.
• Required attire: Escadrille Dri-Fit, khaki shorts

HOMECOMING GAME VS. PLANO SENIOR HS (9/20)

Be aware of the 5:15pm call time dressed in the blue traditional shirts. We have to move quickly and efficiently since we have a pre-game performance with the homecoming court. Students may wear their homecoming mums to the football game, however they must be taken off prior to performing on the field. Please click links below to help prepare for this week's game. Ineligible students are not able to participate in the homecoming game and will be issued an alternate assignment.

Friday, Sept 13th was the last day of the first UIL Eligibility check. Based on the final grade pull, students with grades lower than a 70 in an on-level or non-exempt class will be academically ineligible. Ineligible students will not be permitted to participate in the following events during the next grading period and must regain eligibility at the next UIL eligibility check on 10/4 to participate beginning on 10/11:

• Sept 20: Homecoming Game vs. Plano Senior HS
• Sept 21: Plano Drumline Contest
• Sept 27: Away Game vs. McKinney
• Oct 2: State Jazz Auditions
• Oct 5: McKinney Marching Competition

From the 2024-2025 Band Handbook:

"The Allen Band Staff will enforce all TEA eligibility rules and regulations. Students who are ineligible will continue to rehearse during their band class, before and after school, and participate in curricular performances to earn their band grade. Ineligible students may not travel with the band or participate in extracurricular performances. Students should always check on an event if there is a question of their participation. Be advised that excessive absences from school may also result in a student being declared ineligible. CLICK HERE for the 2024-2025 Eligibility Calendar."

The Band Council has set up tutoring program for students seeking extra help in their academic classes. The link to the tutoring form below is not for students signing up for Band private lessons, but for classes outside of Band. Upperclassmen will work with students to understand their class’s content with the intended outcome of increased academic achievment. Students should be signed into their student accounts to access the form.

Start your homecoming Saturday with the Allen Drumline! The Allen Varsity and JV programs will be performing early in the day at Clark Stadium in Plano so you can still get ready for an amazing homecoming evening! Percussion students will receive specific instructions and their itinerary from Mr. Locke and Mr. Vela. If you have any obligations from fees or past charges, please make those payments. Band staff will begin calling parents of students that have any obligations this week. Please note that if sales tax was not added to the fees, students have been charged the sales tax as an obligation. Students will not be able to participate in games if payments have not been made.

According to the 2024-2025 Band Handbook:

"Students with outstanding balance for program fees will not be allowed to participate in program activities unless there is a payment plan in place with the program director. Lack of participation will lead to removal from the program at the beginning of the next grading period."

Payments can be submitted through the following ways:

• Drop a check or cash in the AHS Band safe. (Checks made payable to Allen ISD, driver's license # in the memo)
• Mail a payment to: Allen High School Band; 300 Rivercrest Blvd, Allen, TX 75002 (attn: Susan Fulk)
• Credit Card or Debit Card payment through SchoolPay - link below (a fee will be included in the final payment)

We are extending the donation drive to September 27. This will allow a few more weeks for us to meet our goal. Please continue to reach out to friends, family and supporters.
