Thank you to those families that sent a card, note, or gift to your child's teacher last week. Our scholars are so appreciative for their teachers. Teacher appreciation week is a sign that the school year is drawing to a close. Our weekly flyer will provide information about summer opportunities for our scholars and families. All scholars, minus 6th grade, received an Intent to Return form. Please send this back to school as soon as possible if you haven't already.

All scholars kindergarten through sixth grade will begin taking our NWEA assessment on Monday. This assessment measures the amount of growth your child has achieved this year. The window for testing closes on Friday, May 31st.

Representatives from the Indianapolis Marion County Public Library visited our school this week to inform our scholars about the summer reading program. Be sure to ask your child about their experience and check out

Our last family event for the year will be on Tuesday May 21st at 4:30pm. Daniel Lusk, a local magician, will be performing in the gymnasium. Tickets are $2 per person. Scholars must be accompanied by a parent of caregiver. Hope to see you at PLA@93's Magic Night!

Phalen Leadership Academies is excited to offer 7 vs. 7 coed football for 3rd and 4th graders. Registration is next Saturday or you can register online. See the flyer below for more details.

PLA@93 is happy to have yearbooks available for purchase again this year. They are available in the front office daily for $20.

PLA @ 93 will be hosting magician Daniel Lusk at our school for a family magic show on Tuesday May 21, 2024. Doors open at 4pm and the show will run from 4:30pm-5:15pm. This is NOT a free event; tickets are available now for $2 per ticket. Please bring your tickets with you on the day of the event to avoid needing to pay twice. Our friends at The Indianapolis Public Library invite all students to join in their annual Summer Reading Program, “Camp Read S’more”! Regular reading is an important part of student development, and participants can win great prizes too!

I wanted to send you all some exciting news about what Phalen Leadership Academy has to offer this summer in regards to athletics. We are excited to start our first 7 v 7 football summer program. I have attached a copy of our registration form for families to apply. Simply click on the link on the actual flyer and the registration form will appear. This program is absolutely free, no hidden fees associated. It is open to but not limited to Phalen Leadership Academy scholars. The league is going to be offered to incoming 3rd and 4th grade scholars.

PLA@93 is enrolled in the Box Tops for Education program to raise money for our school! Box tops has done away with the traditional box tops clips, but now they have an app where you can scan your receipt and earn points instantly. Box Tops are worth $.10 each and they add up fast! Twice a year, our school receives a check to help pay for whatever we need - equipment, supplies or experiences the kids love! This is a very easy way to earn money for the school. All you have to do is shop, scan, and earn points!

5. To see where your child's classroom stands on our leaderboard, open the Box Tops app, tap on the school card on the Home screen and check out Fall Leaderboard on the school dashboard.

Want to give credit for a digital or email receipt? Go into the Box Tops app, tap on the My Earnings button at the top of the screen and tap on the transaction you'd like to credit. Scroll past the list of products and tap on Give Credit at the bottom of the screen. Then, select your child's classroom.
