On Thursday morning a student noticed smoke coming from the back parking lot and let the main office know. I went out to investigate further and could see flames in the woods. 911 was immediately notified and students were asked to move their vehicles away from the back parking lot. Several fire crews from Sabattus and Wales arrived within minutes and began containing the fire. At no time was the school in danger.

We appreciate everyones flexibility in our response to the situation. I would also like to thank the fire departments of Sabattus and Wales, Androscoggin Sheriff's Department and Maine Forest Service for their quick response and support.

On Thursday evening OHHS FBLA held their annual Installation Ceremony to officially recognize new officers and members. It was a wonderful event with a great turnout.

The OHHS Band/Chorus audition at All State on Saturday. Congratulations to Mr. Fuller and all of the group members.

On Thursday the Guidance Office hosted an alumni panel. The panel consisted of alumni who are in the fields of day care, landscaping or pet services/pet daycare. We thank each of our alumni for taking the time to share their experiences with our students.

Parent Teacher Conferences are Thursday, November 14th from 4:30-7:30. If you are having difficulty signing up please contact the guidance office.
