Reutter School Weekly Update
Week of September 16, 2024
Principal's Message
Reutter School Families,
Today, in accordance with state law, Reutter School conducted a security drill in the manner that we conduct all emergency drills, with seriousness and with sensitivity to our students and staff. Everyone responded appropriately and instruction resumed immediately thereafter.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This week, our teachers will be conducting baseline academic assessments in both Math and English Language Arts (ELA) for all students. These assessments are an essential part of our educational process, as they provide valuable insights into each student’s current skill level. The results will be used by our teachers to inform and guide their instructional programming, ensuring that we meet the unique needs of each child as they progress through the curriculum.
Additionally, I would like to take this opportunity to remind you about some important upcoming events:
PTO Scholastic Book Fair: Next week, we will host our annual Scholastic Book Fair. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to explore new books and for parents to support our school’s literacy initiatives.
Back to School Night: Join us on Wednesday, September 18, at 6:30 PM for our Back to School Night. This is a great chance to meet your child’s teachers and learn more about what they will be working on this year.
PTO Meeting: Immediately following Back to School Night, there will be a PTO meeting at 8:00 PM. We encourage all parents to attend and get involved in our school community.
Thank you for your continued support as we work together to ensure the best possible educational experience for our students. If you have any questions or need further information, please feel free to reach out.
Warm regards,
Mr. Theodore Peters
Principal

CLR PTO Scholastic Book Fair
The Reutter PTO would like to welcome you back to school. We have a lot of activities planned for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. We are busy gearing up for our school year by forming various committees to manage PTO-sponsored programs.
Parents are encouraged to actively participate in our school’s PTO through attending meetings and events.
Please join us for our first PTO meeting of the year on Wednesday, September 18 immediately after the Back to School Night in the Reutter School cafeteria.
The Scholastic Book Fair will be held from September 16-20 during your child’s regularly scheduled library class time. Students will also be permitted to attend the book fair during their library and lunch/recess periods.
Here’s how the Book Fair works: During the week, each child visits the Book Fair with their class to make purchases. We have books for all ages, including adults! You will be happily surprised at the varied selection and reasonable prices.
Again, we invite you to come visit our Book Fair. Your children will be glad you did — and so will you!
