Teacher Appreciation Week (May 6th-10th)

Looking for ways to celebrate our staff during Teacher Appreciation Week? See below for some inexpensive and thoughtful ideas that would bring some sunshine their way.

Ideas:

-Make a card for your teacher

-Pick a flower for your teacher

-Draw a picture for your teacher

-Send your child's teacher an email or Dojo message telling them something great

Rising 6th Graders Attending NMS- See Below

Attached here you can find information about elective course options for Northern Middle School for the 24-25 school year. All rising 6th Grade students attending Northern Middle School will need to fill out the Google Form attached to this flyer. If you filled it out during Rising 6th Grade Registration, you do not need to fill it out again.

EOG Dates

5/17- 3rd Reading and 5th Science

5/21- 4th and 5th Reading

5/22- 3rd, 4th, and 5th Math

5/24- Read to Achieve Test (some third graders)

End of Year Dates

Friday, 5/24 at 11:30am- 4th and 5th Grade Kickball Tournament

Tuesday, May 28th- Waterworks Celebration (4th Nine Weeks AR Goal Party)

Wednesday, May 29th (All Day)- Field Day

Thursday, May 30th (Time TBD)- K-4 Awards Ceremonies

Thursday, May 30th (6pm)- 5th Grade Promotion Ceremony

Friday, May 31st (All Morning)- 5th Grade End of Year Party

If you plan to volunteer for any of these activities/events, you must be an approved volunteer. The application can be found on the PCS website.

Lunch Menus and School Nutrition Information

Our school menus have a new look. They are linked here, so check them out!

A La Carte extras will be available for additional cost. You can pay for your child's lunch by sending in cash or check for your child to give the cafeteria. You can also use the online payment center to add money to your child's account. Lunch money is still added through the K-12 payment center. The online payment center is linked here.

Outside Food and Drink:

Students cannot have soft drinks or food from restaurants (unless it is in an unmarked container). This would apply also if a parent were bringing in food to have lunch with their child in the cafeteria.

PTSO Information

PTSO does so many wonderful things for our students and staff. We are in need of some new volunteers as we move into next year. If you've ever wondered how you can become a part of our awesome group or have the desire to begin volunteering, please come to the meeting on May 20th.
