Parent Teacher Conferences
This week is midterm for Miniterm 1 and our parent teacher conferences are on Thursday, September 1st. During the week of parent teacher conferences, parents will be contacted by their student's 3rd period teacher to let them know how their student is doing in all classes. The 3rd period teacher will make 3 attempts to contact parents during the week of conferences. Parents are also welcome to come into the school to visit with teachers from 3:30pm - 7:00pm this Thursday.
You are also able to email teachers anytime you have a question or concern about your student.
Indragonation - Zipline and Rock Wall
Attendance Contacts - Texts and Letters
At Landmark we have 8 mini-terms varying from 20 to 24 days, depending on the term. As a result student absences will have a much greater impact on the work the student can get done in order to be successful.
Just three absences in a given class can drop a student into the chronic absenteeism category for that class and make it more difficult to do well.
- At 3 Class Absences: A Chronically Absent Concern Letter will be sent via email and a text to the parent/guardian will be sent.
- At 4 Class Absences: A Chronically Absent Notification Letter and a text will be sent to the student’s parent/guardian signifying that with the next absence, the student’s class(es) will be dropped for the remainder of the current mini-term.
- At 5 Class Absences: A Chronically Absent Administrative Meeting Letter and a text will be sent to the student’s parent/guardian signifying the class(es) have been dropped and the parent should contact an administrator.
If there are extenuating circumstances, please notify the administration.

Curricular Canyon Day Trip
Teachers and staff are working hard to put together a day of learning activities using the natural surroundings. The Canyon Day Trip is a time to experience nature, participate in authentic learning activities, and get to know their teachers and other students better. We know this will be a great kickoff to an amazing year.
Students - be prepared to dress for the terrain and the weather. Wear closed toed shoes and carry a flannel shirt or jacket. Make sure to bring sunscreen as well. The weather is expected to be sunny and warm.
Parents - If you completed the online registration for your student, you had the option to choose whether they could attend field trips. If you HAVE NOT FILLED OUT REGISTRATION ONLINE, you must do so by September 5th in order to give permission for your student to attend.
