Wrapping Up a Wonderful School Year!
Dear Families,
As we approach the final stretch of the school year, I want to take a moment to express my deep appreciation for your partnership, support, and commitment to your childβs education. It has been a year filled with growth, learning, and community, and I am so proud of everything we have accomplished together.
We recently completed our state assessments and MAP testing, and I commend our students for their hard work and perseverance. These assessments help us understand how our students are progressing and inform our instructional planning for the future.
As the school year winds down, we are excited to celebrate our studentsβ achievements and bring our community together through several special events such as:
-
Multicultural Night β Join us in celebrating the diversity and cultural richness of our school community.
-
Open House β Come and see the amazing projects and progress your child has made throughout the year.
-
Attendance Celebrations β We will be recognizing students who demonstrated outstanding commitment to school attendance.
-
PIQE Parent Graduation β Congratulations to all the parents who completed the PIQE program! Your dedication to supporting your childβs education is truly inspiring.
-
8th Grade Promotion Ceremony β A heartfelt congratulations to our 8th graders as they prepare to take their next big step into high school. We are so proud of you!
As summer break draws near, I encourage all families to find time for rest, reading, and recreation. Whether youβre traveling, spending time with family, or enjoying the simple pleasures of summer, I hope this season brings joy and renewal to you all.
On behalf of our entire staff, I wish you and your children a safe, happy, and healthy summer vacation. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the fall, refreshed and ready for another great year.
Warm regards,
Dr. Brown

School Safety
Dear Veritas Families,
π΅*** To support a focused and respectful learning environment, we will begin enforcing the district's cell phone policy starting Monday, May 5, 2025, in alignment with Board guidelines. This procedure will remain in place through the next school year. We appreciate your support as we reinforce expectations around student cell phone use on campus. Please refer to Sunday's school message for cell phone violation consequences. π΄
As we continue to prioritize the safety of our students, we want to remind everyone of the important safety protocols during arrival and dismissal times. Your cooperation is essential in ensuring a safe and smooth process for all.
Please keep the following in mind:
πΈ **Use the Crosswalk:** Always use designated crosswalks when crossing the street. Encourage your child to do the same and model safe behaviors. Drivers, please remain alert and yield to pedestrians in crosswalks.
π **Watch for Moving Vehicles & School Buses:** Be cautious of cars and school buses entering and exiting the area. Never walk between buses or parked cars, as visibility may be limited.
πΆββοΈ **Keep Sidewalks Clear:** To ensure the safety of all students, please avoid blocking sidewalks. Students should have a clear path to walk safely instead of stepping into the street, which is dangerous.
π« **Follow Traffic Rules & School Procedures:** If you are picking up or dropping off your child, please follow all traffic signs, school staff instructions, and designated drop-off/pick-up locations. Patience and attentiveness help keep everyone safe.
We appreciate your cooperation in making arrival and dismissal a safe experience for our students. Thank you for your support and commitment to our school community.
