1st Grade Pet Adoption
First grade hosted their annual Pet Adoption for March is Reading Month! Each student got to choose a Beanie Baby and blanket to keep. They then filled out an adoption application. Once approved, the children got an animal carrier and certificate of adoption. It will be their reading buddy, so they also got a journal to write and draw about their adventures. They loved it! It was wonderful watching their genuine smiles and watching them care for the new pet!
Guest Readers
Our guest readers play a valuable role in fostering a love of reading among young students. We were able to have many visitors this week including, Dr. Wozniak, Superintendent, Mrs. Murray, RMS teacher, and Mrs. Kelley. This initiative allowed for increased excitement around literacy!
