Argyle ISD Announces 2025–2026 Compensation Plan Following Staff Input & Legislative Support

At last night's Board meeting, the Argyle ISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved the 2025–2026 Teacher & Staff Compensation Plan—a major milestone in our continued commitment to valuing and retaining our exceptional team of educators and staff.

This decision is the result of a multi-phase process that began last fall with a series of listening workshops, where our teachers and staff shared their voices and budget priorities.

Four key themes emerged:

Reducing class sizes by adding teaching positions

Restoring support staff roles cut in 2024–2025

Increasing compensation for teachers and staff

Adopt a balanced budget for 2025-26

In April, the Board approved 35+ new teaching positions and reinstated key support staff roles to address the first two priorities.

Following the recent passage of HB2, a historic $8.5 billion investment in Texas public education, Argyle ISD worked diligently to finalize a compensation plan that reflects both our financial stewardship and the vital work of our employees.

Approved 2025–2026 Compensation Plan Highlights:

• Teachers (0–2 years completed experience): $2,100 raise (≈3.5%)

• Teachers (3–4 completed years): $2,500 raise (≈4%)

• Teachers (≥5 completed years): $5,000 raise (≈8%)

• All Other Staff: 3.5% raise of the pay range category midpoint

It was another milestone moment in Argyle ISD history! 🦅

Thank you to our incredible community members who joined us for the AISD Middle School Beam Signing Ceremony on Monday. Attendees included student groups, campus administration and staff, and many parents and families who were able to leave their mark on the construction site. The support means everything as we continue to grow and build a bright future for our students.

Construction is moving forward on several major Bond 2022 projects, including the Argyle ISD Stadium, Indoor Activity Center (IAC), and the new Argyle ISD Middle School.

Stadium & Indoor Activity Center Update:

✅ Visitor grandstands installation complete
✅ Press box construction underway
✅ Rafters are currently being installed at the IAC
📅 Estimated substantial completion: November 2025

New Argyle ISD Middle School Update:

✅ Tennis court pads in preparation
✅ Storm shelter walls completed
📅 Estimated substantial completion: July 2026

Argyle Middle School is proud to welcome Laura Rizvi as their newest Assistant Principal!

Mrs. Rizvi brings 22 years of experience in education and has spent the last 4 years serving as the EBL Specialist at Argyle South Elementary. Her passion for student growth and dedication to excellence make her a fantastic addition to the AMS leadership team.

We are so excited to have her leadership!

Argyle West Librarian Mary Ann Riley recently hosted her annual Take a Book, Leave a Book event at Harvest. It is a valued tradition that promotes a love of reading and helps keep students engaged all summer long and ready to succeed when school begins.

Her program encourages students to stay connected with books so they return to school ready to learn, grow, and succeed!
