From Miss Angela
Dear VAP Families,
I hope you had a successful and productive experience during Parent-Teacher Conferences on Friday. These conferences are such an important opportunity for us to partner with you in supporting your child's academic and personal growth. Thank you for your continued engagement and collaboration. Miss Theresa and I also had the privilege of attending the AMLE conference last week, and we’re excited to bring some fresh ideas and strategies back to the classroom!
We are thrilled to announce that Van Avery Prep has been recognized as one of the Top 2025 Best Schools in America by Niche! This prestigious recognition is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our incredible students, teachers, and entire community. We are so proud to see our commitment to excellence and student success celebrated on a national scale. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who makes Van Avery Prep such a special place! To learn more, you can read the full article HERE.
In the spirit of the season, Van Avery Prep, in partnership with Kid's World, is excited to sponsor a Christmas tree at the Promenade Mall! Next time you’re there, be sure to stop by the walk-through and enjoy our beautifully decorated tree. It’s a wonderful way to celebrate the holidays and support our school. The tree will be auctioned off, with all proceeds benefiting Habitat for Humanity to help local families in need.
We’re also participating in the Annual Rotary Club of Temecula Holiday Food Drive this year, with a little friendly competition thrown in! We’re challenging our school Houses to collect as many non-perishable food donations as possible. Please drop off your donations in the gym by Thursday, November 21st. Let’s make this our biggest year yet in supporting those in need in our community!
Our Scholastic Book Fair will be on campus from November 18th-22nd. Students will visit the fair during their scheduled class times, and parents are welcome to shop with their children after school until 5:30 p.m. It’s a great way to encourage a love of reading while also supporting our school library.
As we approach the season of gratitude, we’re offering a special opportunity down below to express your appreciation for our amazing staff. You can write personalized messages to any of our staff members, which will be turned into certificates and presented to them next week. We encourage you to take a moment to recognize the hard work and dedication of our wonderful team.
As always, be sure to check out the rest of the newsletter for additional information on upcoming events and activities. Thank you for being such an important part of the Van Avery Prep community. We look forward to all the exciting things ahead!

Join Us in Honoring Our Veterans
This past Monday, we observed Veterans Day—a time to reflect on the courage, sacrifices, and service of our military veterans. To honor their dedication, we invite all families with veterans or active-duty service members to participate in a special commemorative project.
We have created a banner, designed by our talented teacher Miss Margarita, to celebrate and recognize the branches of service in our school community. If you or a family member has served or is currently serving in the military, we encourage you to bring a velcroed patch representing your branch to add to the banner. Don’t have velcro? No worries—we’ll provide that for you!
The banner will be displayed throughout the month, giving us all a chance to come together as a community to show our appreciation and support. If you have any questions, or need assistance with your patch, feel free to reach out to Miss Margarita at mtrujillo@vapeagles.com.
Thank you for being part of this meaningful tribute to our veterans! Together, let's honor those who have served and continue to serve.
Join Us in Spreading Holiday Cheer at the Promenade Mall!

The tree will be auctioned off, with all proceeds benefiting Habitat for Humanity to support local families in need. Want a chance to take home one of these stunning trees? Homework Club Pick Up Information
Reminder: Please try to refrain from picking up your child during Homework Club hours, as this time is dedicated to completing homework and catching up on assignments. If you need to pick up your child early, we can make exceptions, but this shouldn't become a regular occurrence.
