Principal's Message
Greeting,
Thank you for your patience last week, as our response time was longer than usual due to the beginning of the year training we had. During the training, we had the opportunity to listen to our superintendent, Dr. Elizalde, talk about the focus and direction of the district. The district's big rocks are centered on equity, curriculum, instruction, and literacy while maintaining a safe and secure environment. This information aligns perfectly with the promise I made to you during our meetings.
Our campus is getting ready for your children as I typed this message. I have been closely checking the progress the crew has made, and it is impressive how they are quickly advancing to get everything ready. Unfortunately, I am not authorized yet to let anyone in the building until all is ready, but the project manager is confident we will have it on time for your children.
This past Friday, my team participated in our retreat. We were trained in how the brain control emotions and how to teach this concept to our little ones. We also spend the day learning through STEM activities. These are two of our primary drives in our opening year.
Last, Ms. Hernandez, our record keepers, may contact some of you to complete all the registration steps and to request any missing documentation. Please, if she reaches out, I ask you to respond to her request promptly so we can build the class rosters.
If you have questions or comments, please do not hesitate and ask. I will send another email during the week if I get updates.
Thanks for choosing us!
Kind Regards,
Roberto Gonzalez

Update
Thanks for all the families that have shown interest on the Dual Language. This is the latest information I got from the district:
"We are in the process of finalizing our Dual Language master plan which is a document that details our Dual Language programs, as well as specific information about the Dual Language 2.0 rollout. Once it has been approved and is published, we will be sure and share that with you."
Also, the process of selection could take up to the week before the school begins but for sure it would be before the meet the teacher night. Thanks in advance for your patience as we ensure we have the most accurate data to comply with all state regulations.
2 way Dual Language program begins in Kinder. The school will begin contacting parents this week regarding the possibility of being part of the dual language kinder and first grade classroom.
