INFORMATION AND PROPOSALS

School Administration Reports

  • Our Kindergarten Mass Buddies, a program where juniors and seniors sat with kindergarteners to help them accumulate to Mass, ended on October 16.
  • Another UCA intern is on the Elementary campus.
  • 3rd-6th graders have had the opportunity to go to confession after school Mass in October.
  • The NWEA Map testing window closed and teachers are using the data to form small groups.
  • An ELAP (English Language Acquisition Plan) has been created with help from Conway Public Schools and St.Theresa’s to help meet the needs of new (to the U.S. and St. Joseph School) students.
  • Middle School held a kickball tournament to end the first quarter.
  • Middle School basketball, cheer, and quiz bowl are excited to start a new year.
  • K-1 had a successful field trip to the Pumpkin Patch with many parents joining in the fun.
  • Parent-Teacher Conferences all day on October 17 was a new format and gave parents more options.

    PUBLIC RELATIONS

    • The video shoot for the new school commercials will be November 6.

    BUILDINGS & GROUNDS

    • SJS Facilities Exploratory Committee met on October 14. Enrollment trends were reviewed to determine needed classrooms and the impact on building costs now.

    BAZAAR

    • 2024 Bazaar Committee met this month to review the August Bazaar financials and discuss ideas and plans for next year.
