Homework Helpers @ FM9
Catch-up Café: A Lunchtime Opportunity
If a student has a “2” in Skyward for a course taught by a FM9 teacher, it indicates that an assignment is missing, but can still be submitted. While a late penalty may apply, teachers are still willing to accept the work. To help students complete these assignments, we are offering a space in the Vista, known as the “Catch-up Café,” where students can eat lunch and work on any missing assignments with a teacher present.
How It Works:
- STUDENT Responsibility: Students will email their teacher and parents, acknowledging the missing assignment and their plan to complete it.
- Completion: If the assignment isn’t finished during lunch, the student is still responsible for completing it outside of the lunch period.
- Notifications: Students will receive a note listing any missing assignments and inviting them to attend Homework Helpers in the “Catch-up Café.”
PARENT Involvement: Enable Skyward notifications is recommended (alert whenever your student is missing an assignment or has a grade below 70).
Get Involved in campus Clubs & Organizations
The BEST way to be part of Jaguar Nation is to get involved. FMHS has many different clubs and organizations that 9th-12th grader students can join. Check out the main clubs list and make plans to attend the 1st meetings of the year. Information can also be found posted in the CLUB HUB located on the bulletin board at the doors to Main Campus.

Whole Child Series
The Lewisville ISD Counseling and Social Work Department is grateful to partner with you to support the social emotional needs of all LISD students. We believe education on these issues is key to helping our students become happy, successful people.
Please review the flyers in English or Spanish describing different social issues our students may face. If you have any areas that we may assist you or your student, please contact your student’s school counselor.
