Cedar Hill Football To Host DeSoto in Battle Of Belt Line
The Cedar Hill High School Football Team will host DeSoto in the annual Battle Of Belt Line Game at 7 p.m. Friday.
The Longhorns (3-4, 2-2) are looking for their first victory in the series since 2020 against the Eagles (5-2, 3-1), two-time defending state champions.
Cedar Hill jumped out to a 7-0 lead last week with a CJ Castleberry touchdown, but host Waxahachie scored 21 unanswered points in the second quarter en route to a 24-13 victory.
Dayshun Reese-Williams had 12 carries for 47 yards and his team-high sixth rushing touchdown of the season. Castleberry's touchdown was his fourth of the year.

Cedar Hill Volleyball To Wrap Up Regular Season With Three Home Matches
The Cedar Hill High School Volleyball Team has a chance to reach the postseason for the second consecutive season if it wins its final three matches.
Luckily for the Lady Longhorns (23-11, 5-6), the last three matches will be played at Milson Gymnasium.
They will host Lancaster (4-22) on Tuesday and DeSoto (21-15) on Friday before closing out the season against Duncanville (21-16).

ALUMNI UPDATE:
Denver freshman Jamia Johnson finished with a total of 19 kills in a pair of matches against Omaha and Kansas City. The Pioneers (8-9) will host ORU on Tuesday.
Cedar Hill Boys Cross Country Competes at UIL Regional Meet
The Cedar Hill High School Boys Cross Country Team competed at the UIL Class 6A Regional Meet on Monday morning at Lynn Creek Park in Grand Prairie. It was the Longhorns' first team appearance at Regionals since 2016.
Cedar Hill High School senior Messiyah Forte, who broke the school cross country record earlier this month, led the team at Regionals. Forte finished 60th with a time of 16:54.08

Sam Houston punter Jadon Cardell had four punts for 169 yards in a 31-14 loss to Western Kentucky. The Bearkats (5-2) will visit Florida International on Tuesday.
Illinois wide receiver Zakhari Franklin caught two passes for 26 yards in a 21-7 win over defending national champion Michigan. Illinois (6-1) became bowl eligible in the process and will visit top-ranked Oregon on Saturday.
Tulsa wide receiver Kamdyn Benjamin caught three passes for 29 yards in a 20-10 loss at Temple. The Golden Hurricane (2-5) will host UTSA on Saturday.
Texas Tech defensive lineman Harvey Dyson III made two tackles in a 59-35 loss to Baylor. The Red Raiders (5-2) will have a Metroplex Homecoming when they visit TCU on Saturday.
