Choral Concert

We are so excited to invite you to our first concert of the 2024-2025 school year!
Choral Concert - Wednesday, October 9th at 7:00 p.m.
Lakewood High School
9700 W. 8th Ave Lakewood, CO 80215
No tickets needed for this concert
Students need to be in the Lakewood HS choir room, dressed in concert attire, at 5:30 p.m.
ATTIRE
Concert Attire - Images and Resonance
Ladies will wear black, closed toe, ballet style, flat dress shoes and the assigned dress from Southeastern Apparel (Melisma for Images and Callie for Resonance)
Gentlemen will wear black dress pants, black socks, black dress shoes, and black long sleeved dress shirts.
Please - NO short sleeved shirts, tennis shoes, heels or jeans - Please remember that this is performance attire and we want to look professional.
Ties and sashes will be provided for all students
If you have not received your dress, please contact your director as soon as possible so arrangements can be made to borrow a dress until your dress arrives. We have very few loaners.
Jeffco Honor Choir and All State Choir
Please click here for information on Jeffco Honor Choir and All State Choir auditions. We will be recording auditions the week of 10/6. Students will record their audition and the directors will score against the rubric. Students scoring well on the rubric will be offered the opportunity to send their recording to All State. Please see the attached letter for fees. Jeffco Honor Choir will be chosen from Images, while all 7th and 8th graders in both choirs will have the opportunity to audition for All State.
Art Museum
Resonance will be performing with the Colorado Repertory Singers and Rock Canyon High School on February 18, 2025. This concert will take place at the Art Museum in Denver. We will be taking a special field trip to the Art Museum on November, 5, 2024, to see the space where we will sing as well as engage with art that correlates with our performance music. Permission slips will be sent home soon.
Wreath Fundraiser
We will be selling holiday wreaths as a performing arts fundraiser. Wreath sales start October 21st. Students will sell the 22' Noble Fir wreath for $27 each. See flyer here. Students should collect funds at the time of sale and families should write ONE check to Manning for all wreaths purchased. Once you are done selling, please fill out the ordere form here and bring your check in by Nov. 1, 2024. Wreaths will be delivered to Manning the week after Thanksgiving (usually Tuesday). Please deliver your fresh wreaths right away so they stay as fresh as possible.
Boosters
The Performing Arts Department is looking for parents to chair our booster club. Booster club keeps track of the funds that help pay for our accompanist, clinicians, music, etc. If you are interested in helping please contact Judy Lancy at manningptapresident@gmail.com
