Second Grade News

We have a busy week ahead of us as we learn about what makes a story a fairy tale and what makes it a fractured fairy tale. Our Story is called The Poisoned Apple. We have many other fractured fairy tales on hand to explore after our main story.

This will be a fun week!

Math-our first unit test on Monday!!

Spelling -Friday

Library- Friday

Morning Meetings- this month -at least 2x a week we will cover a self regulation activity. (what to do when you don't know what to do)

Speedy- They have been begging to hold Speedy. so we will all get to hold Speedy this week. (optional, of course) We ALWAYS wash up after touching animals.

Bones/skeletons- Why do we have so many and what is their purpose, Science-STEM activity

Spiders-Mystery Science(end of the month)

science -Ghost Science at the end of the month(right before Halloween)

Games-math games with a Halloween theme

Art/Writing-so much art and writing

We will have our Halloween classroom party on Thursday ,Oct 31.I plan on doing mine in the morning. (10:15-12:15). Let me know if you would like to be party volunteer.

A big cheer for all the 2nd graders. Your behavior during Homecoming Week was wonderful. Keep it up.
