The Lister Weekly Update #4
November 15th, 2023
Your Lister News from the Lister News Team
Be on time!
We all know the importance of being on time - whether it’s a deadline for work or arriving on time for an interview. As we are building the habits that will mean that our students will be successful in work and education after Lister, we emphasise the habits that will make your children successful in the future. Part of that is making sure that your children are on time all the way through their day at school. Our focus this week is on punctuality - being on time! From registration, to lessons and following lunch, we will be encouraging students to arrive on time for lessons by rewarding them with praises if they are where they should be in good time. Students who are marked late will be spoken to by PMs and will be supported to make better punctuality choices in detentions after school.

Lister's Foodbank
At Lister Community School we are committed to looking out for our students and their families and we know that this time may be challenging for members of our school community.
As part of our support we will continue to host Lister's Foodbank and appreciate donations from parents and carers. We welcome tinned foods, rice, flour and other items which are packaged. We also welcome donations of any unused/unopened toiletries such as toothpaste/toothbrushes/ shower gel/shampoo.
We ask that you check that donated items are not close to, or have passed, their expiry date.
We cannot take perishable food such as fresh fruit/vegetables.
All items can be dropped at the main reception.
Our next Foodbank will be held on Friday 15th December from 3.30 p.m. - 4 p.m. There will be ready-made parcels for students and parents to collect, as well as extra items available. Please visit the Main Reception at this time if you wish to use the Foodbank.
