Message From the Principal
Dear Tuffree community,
I hope everyone had the break that they needed with their loved ones. Classes are back in full swing, as we begin third quarter. Next week is a busy week at Tuffree, with plenty of opportunity for our students and community to get involved.
As I have previously mentioned we have parntered with PIQE to offer STEM workshops for families that begin January 15th, 6pm-7:30pm. These workshops are offered through zoom in English, and live in the TMS library in Spanish. I urge you to take advantage of this free opportunity! More information can be found below.
Friday, January 17th, a speaker from the "With Hope Foundation" will be coming to Tuffree to present to all 7th grade students. More information on this can be found below.
Enthusiastically,
Sarah Barton, Principal
FREE STEM Program for Parents
We'd like to invite you to FREE STEM workshops for families that we are offering in partnership with PIQE (Parent Institute for Quality Education). Please see the flyers below for more information.
Behavior Reminders from Ms. Chapman
This week students were reminded of campus behavior expectations through assemblies. Please feel free to discuss with your student what's expected of them on campus. The presentation is attached here - parent partnership is invaluable in keeping our campus awesome!
We also truly appreciate the efforts from all families put towards getting our students here on time every day. We enjoy seeing all of our students thriving on campus, and we know that it's due to all the behind the scenes effort it takes to get them here on time.
With Hope Presentations
Friday, January 17th, a speaker from the "With Hope Foundation" will be coming to Tuffree to present to all 7th grade students. The With Hope Foundation is dedicated to suicide prevention through improving mental health awareness and education and annually presents to the secondary students in our district. Their highly successful educational program is designed to educate, equip and empower students in recognizing the warning signs of suicide and to provide them with resources for critical lifesaving intervention. Office Reminders
Health Office: Please remind students to go to the health office if they do not feel well. Our health clerk will assess and contact home if needed. Students are not to be using their phones during school hours, and if they text you to pick them up, then we are unaware that there is a sick student on campus and it becomes a safety concern.
School Calendar: The school calendar can be found here.
Daily Attendance: Every day counts when it comes to student attendance. Students must maintain good attendance to achieve academic success. When a student is absent, please contact the attendance office.
