PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Welcome to May! It’s the final count down. It is hard to believe we only have a few short weeks left until summer is here. This school year has gone by quickly. It has been an INCREDIBLE year full of lots of learning and fun! I am proud of our students and all they have accomplished. Every day they came to school prepared and ready to level up their learning! I am thankful for our teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff for completing their yearly mission of taking great care of our students, supporting each individual child’s educational needs, and keeping our Catoosa County Value Promise of “Every Child, Every Day, Without Exception”. They have worked above and beyond the call of duty to keep our students safe. I appreciate every parent for all of the love and guidance you have given your children and the support you have given to our school this year. Thank you for trusting us with your children. I am overwhelmed by the support of our PTO and Business Partners and all that you do to make incredible things happen at Boynton. You always find ways to support and encourage us. It truly takes a village to make a difference in the lives of our children. Thank you to everyone for your positive attitudes and support during this school year. We came out successful because everyone was willing to do their part and work as a team. My wish for each of you this summer is to have a safe, relaxing, and fun summer with your family. Do the things that make you happy. You deserve it. See you in August!

CELEBRATING OUR SENIORS ~ CLASS OF 2024
CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR BOYNTON SENIORS!
Words can't express how very proud that we are of each and every one of you! From Kindergarten to graduating seniors, you never stopped persevering through all these years to reach your goal. This is just the beginning of the beautiful future in store for you. Thank you for being a part of our lives and allowing us the privilege to teach you. We know that your futures look bright and you will make a difference in the world. Boynton wishes you all the very best! 💗
PHASE I BUILDING PROJECT
On April 18, 2024 we had our official Groundbreaking Ceremony for our Phase I Building Project. Construction will begin on Monday, April 29th. We are excited about this addition to our school.
BOYNTON TIME CAPSULE
On October 6, 1999 Boynton Elementary School teachers, staff, and students, PTO, Business Partners, and community members built the community playground "Barnacle Bay" on our campus. The playground only took 5 days to build with 150 volunteers per day. After the construction of the playground, we were able to create a Time Capsule containing the items in the pictures posted below. After 25 years, this is what we found. Barnacle Bay has been a wonderful place for our students and community to play on and explore. There have been many memories made on this special playground that we will never forget.
Next school year our plan is to create a new Time Capsule for our Phase I building project. Our hope is that we can preserve the capsule for another 25 years.
PARAPROFESSIONAL APPRECIATION
We are SO THANKFUL for our parapros and all that they do every day to support our students and our school. Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and love for the kids. Boynton could not make it without you! WE. LOVE. YOU! 💗

MEDIA NEWS
Celebrations are in order as we've successfully navigated through Milestones testing and preparation! Our K-2 students showed their support and encouragement by crafting delightful coloring sheets for our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders in a heartwarming display.
Looking ahead to May, we're gearing up for an exciting exploration of poetry! Throughout the month, students will be reading and listening to various poetry books, sharing their preferences, and ultimately crafting their own poetic masterpieces. It will be a fun end of the school year.

We have had so much fun talking about the recent solar eclipse in STEM. Students have learned about all the elements involved in creating this phenomenon as well as other things about Earth's orbital cycle. Things like the weather, our calendar, the seasons, and the day/night cycle all occur based on the orbital cycle of Earth around the Sun. Students REALLY enjoyed these lessons. We have also taken advantage of the great weather to get outside for some lessons in the sunshine and students have really enjoyed them!
Looking for something to do this summer? Click on the link https://ccpsstemcamp24.my.canva.site/ to sign up for STEM Camp. The camp is for students in Grades 3-8. Camp will be held from June 3rd through June 6th.
NOTES FROM THE NURSE
Parents,
If your child has over the counter, or emergency medication in the nurse's clinic, you will be receiving a medication letter from me very soon. Please complete, and return this letter to me at your earliest convenience. If you should need to make arrangements for a pick up time for your child's medication, please contact me.
On another note, to all our 5th grade parents, I would like to say it has been a privilege to know your child, and an honor to have been their school nurse. I wish all our 5th grade student's the best of luck next year in Middle School, and to all our Boynton Families, and students have a safe and healthy summer!
If you have any questions or concerns, please call me at 706-866-1521.

CAFETERIA NEWS ~ THE BOYNTON BISTRO
The end of the year is getting very close. Please keep an eye on your child's lunch account. We have quite a few students with high balances. Please keep the accounts paid. I am not able to give refunds. If you need a refund you will have to contact the county office. Any money left on the account will carry over. If your student will be going to middle school next year, the money will transfer there. A lot of students purchase extra food items/snack items with the money in their lunch accounts. On May 1 students will need cash to purchase these items.
Remember you can pay for your child's lunch/breakfast online at www.K12Paymentcenter.com.
