CRISIS INFORMATION
May is Mental Health Awareness Month!
Mental Health Awareness Month
For Mental Health Awareness Month, we have an opportunity to break the stigma around mental health in our campus by talking openly, compassionately, and kindly to each other. No one should ever struggle alone.
School staff are the backbone of student well-being, but remember that you also can’t pour from an empty cup.
During Mental Health Awareness Month, NAMI joins the mental health community to reaffirm our commitment to building our understanding of mental illness, increasing access to treatment and ensuring those who are struggling know they are not alone.
If you or someone you know wants to be connected to a mental health care provider, contact Care Solace, a complimentary and confidential mental health care coordination service provided by School District of Omro:

IF YOU NEED TO REPORT A THREAT, HERE'S HOW
FUN FACT I BET YOU DIDN'T KNOW!
Memorial Day is in May, Veteran's Day is in November
It's not always easy to remember...Memorial Day and Veterans Day are both patriotic holidays honoring the military, but there is a significant difference between the two aside from when they land on the calendar.
Memorial Day, which falls on the last Monday in May, honors the men and women who died while serving in the military. This solemn occasion is a time to reflect on these American patriots who made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting and defending the country they deeply loved.
Veterans Day, observed every November 11, is largely intended to thank living Veterans for their service, to acknowledge that their contributions to our national security are appreciated, and to underscore the fact that all those who served—not only those who died—have sacrificed and done their duty.
