CNE STUDENT ACHIEVEMENT REPORT
Clermont Northeastern School Board

*Highlights shared in this newsletter are collected from the school websites, social media pages, and through individual submissions.
Preschool
โ All students were administered the winter PELI (Preschool Early Literacy Indicators).
Intervention groups have been created in order to address literacy deficits for students
not meeting the benchmark.
โ The preschool staff completed their annual PBIS Tiered Fidelity Inventory (TFI) last
week, achieving a score of 22โan impressive improvement from last yearโs score of 7!
Notably, the teamโs Tier 1 score increased from 33% to 73%, reflecting significant
progress. The team has been focusing on Tier 1 for the past two school years. Next
yearโs focus will include Tier 2.
Elementary Student Achievement:
โ We are very proud of our ES Rockets for doing their part to make residents at ten local
nursing homes feel loved. Lots of students across all grade levels take part in creating
beautiful holiday cards four times per year. Students fill the cards with pictures and sweet
comments in an effort to spread a bit of love to folks that are often forgotten. We know
they are making a difference because we have received thank you letters and some students have received personal thank you cards. This is all organized by Melissa Distler
and the kids absolutely love it!
Building Report:
โ In our most recent round of team meetings teachers looked at various data sources that
can provide them information that they can use to evaluate the effectiveness of their
daily instruction and student performance. Teachers are now taking what they have
learned from the data and responding in their daily instruction. When teams meet again
in a few weeks, teachers will come prepared to talk about performance on the most
recent assessment. This will allow teams to identify strategies that are working well and
problem solve together around areas where there is need for improvement.
STEAM Museum Visits Our Elementary:
A Day of Hands-On Learning!
Our elementary school recently hosted the STEAM Museum, a hands-on traveling exhibit that brought Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math education directly to our gymnasium. Offered to all students in grades 2-5, the event featured 10 interactive stationsโincluding robots, virtual reality, 3D printing, and engineeringโrun by 12 amazing parent volunteers. The event was made possible thanks to the generosity of our schoolโs very own โfairy godmother,โ who chooses to remain anonymous and graciously covered the eventโs $1,795 cost. Additionally, we extend a huge thank you to Mrs. Schmidt (Principal) and Miss Keough (Assistant Principal) for providing lunch for the 12 amazing parent volunteers who ran the stations. Their support and the dedication of our volunteers made the day an unforgettable experience for our students., allowed students to explore advanced topics, technologies, and creative thinking in an engaging, accessible way. Hands-on learning truly came alive, making this an unforgettable experience for all!
Valentine's Day Celebrations
100th Day of School
The Elementary School has been celebrating students who demonstrate โThe Rocket Wayโ by sharing their stories on social media. If youโre not already following our Facebook page, we encourage you to do so. Itโs inspiring to read about our studentsโ hard work, kindness, and perseverance.
1st GRADE FAMILY SCIENCE DAY:
On February 28, the 1st grade will have their Family Science Day. The teachers are planning 11 hands-on stations, and they are inviting up to two family members per student to attend. More details have been sent home and are available on the Elementary website.

MIDDLE SCHOOL DANCE:
Just under 200 students attended the middle school dance on Thursday, February 13th. The kids had fun dancing the evening away with their friends. There were a lot of staff members who came out to help chaperone, decorate, and enjoyed the night with the students! Thank you to Ms. Dorsey, Ms. Bacon, Ms. Gunther, Ms. Kirk, Ms. Benson, Ms. Hall, Ms. Macleod, Ms. Carlier, Mr. Smith, Mr. Howard & Mr. Glad for providing the tunes!
EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING:
OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE:
The middle school grade-level teams come together for Team Meeting Thursdays, a time where the staff collaborate and recognize students who demonstrate excellence in following PBIS expectations. These expectations include being respectful, responsible, problem-solvers, and showing school pride.
Each grade-level team selects 10 students who have exemplified these values throughout the week to be featured on the "Wheel of Cheer." Their names are added to the physical wheel, which is spun each Friday during lunch. Typically, 5 students from each grade level are randomly chosen and awarded the opportunity to enjoy the PBIS room with a friend during the following week's advisory time.
This is a great way for to celebrate students who consistently show the positive behaviors that make our school community strong! ๐
Congrats to our wheel of cheer winners for the week of 1/27-1/31
High School Student Achievement:
โ Wyatt Fisher advanced to the districts for our Menโs Bowling Team!
โ Molly Ross was our CNE HS Rotary Student of the Month! She is a leader in the

Rock Band. She plans on attending Morehead State University, with the goal of
becoming an English professor to inspire others.

โ Our teachers are working hard and incredibly creative! Weโve been spending time over
the last couple of weeks planning for our Future Ready Scheduling Fair (Thursday, 2/20
from 4pm - 7pm), and Iโm looking forward to what theyโre putting together!
