Prom 2018
Congratulations to the 2018 Prom Court!

This years Prom king and queen are Andrew Kulp and Ashlynn Gipe. They were crowned at the Prom assembly on Friday May 11. Prom was held at Letort View Community Center on the Carlisle Barracks.
PowderPuff
The annual Powder Puff game will be on May 26th at 6:00 pm at Bulldog Stadium. The rain date will be May 29 at 6:00 pm. This is the big rivalry game between the seniors and juniors. The girls play football and the boys are the cheerleaders.
Senior Finals
Seniors begin their finals on May 23rd. The first day of finals, students will be tested on their Period 1, 4A, 4B, and 4AB. The second day of finals, May 24th, students will be tested on their Period 2A, 2B, 2AB, and 5.
Senior Class Trip
The Class of 2018 will be taking their senior trip to Six Flags in New Jersey. The trip will be on May 25th. Seniors must have signed up in advance for the trip.
Post-Grad
Throughout this school year, there has been a committee of senior parents who met to plan Post-Grad. Post-Grad is an event that will take place at the Middle School Commons following the commencement ceremony and will last all night long. The event is filled with food and activities such as: seniors will watch a senior video, play in sports tournaments, watch a hypnotist, and receive great prizes! The Post-Grad committee has been working all year long with numerous fundraisers to raise money for this event. All seniors are encouraged to attend but must pre-register!
Commencement Ceremony
The Commencement Ceremony is on June 1, 2018 at 7:00 pm. Plans are for Commencement to be held outdoors at Bulldog Stadium. In the event of inclement weather, a decision will be made Friday afternoon, June 1, to move the event indoors to the High School gymnasium. There will also be a live stream of the ceremony broadcast over the District website. Please check the Commencement FAQ on the High School website for more details about Commencement.
Baccalaureate
This years Baccalaureate will be held on Sunday May 20th at 7:00 pm. This service will be at the Zion Lutheran Church in Newville. The senior class officers helped in planning this event. Everyone is invited to attend.
CPAVTS Awards and Graduation
The students that go to the Cumberland Perry Area Vocational Technical School will have their Awards Ceremony and Graduation on May 22nd at 6:30 pm. This event will be held at the Christian Life Assembly Church.
Senior Walk
Last year, a new tradition called Senior Walk began. Senior Walk is an opportunity for seniors to walk through the elementary schools the seniors attended. This year, the senior walk will be on May 30th at 12:00 before graduation practice. This is optional but it is encouraged that all seniors return to their elementary school to be recognized in their cap and gown. Seniors must sign up in advance!
Senior Awards Ceremony
The Senior Awards ceremony will be on May 30th at 7:00 pm in the High School Auditorium. Senior students will be recognized for their accomplishments!
End of the year Spirit Week
During the week of 5/21 - 5/24, Dawg Pound is hosting an end of the year spirit week.
Monday 5/21 - Comfy / Athletic Day
Tuesday 5/22 - America Day
Wednesday 5/23 - College Apparel
Thursday 5/24 - Maroon and Gold Day
Friday 5/25 - Character Day
River Rock and Yellow Breeches Commencement
The Commencement Ceremony for River Rock will be on Friday, June 1st. The Commencement Ceremony for Yellow Breeches will be Monday, June 4th.
Senior Send-Off Luncheon
On Wednesday May 23rd during all three flexes, the seniors are invited to attend the first annual senior send-off luncheon. The seniors get to play backyard games and will have lunch provided for them.
