Vision 2030
Seeks to put systems and processes in place that support all school districts throughout the state in sharing what works for our kids and our communities.
Vision 2030 is a state-wide education plan in Illinois designed to ensure every student receives a high-quality education. It focuses on three key areas:
- Future-Focused Learning: Preparing students with skills for success in the workforce, whether they choose trades, college, or other careers. This includes building critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
- Shared Accountability: Schools, teachers, parents, and the community working together to improve learning and track student success.
- Predictable Funding: Ensuring schools have the resources they need to support students and teachers consistently.
At the January 27th School Board of Education meeting, the school board members approved the adoption of the 2030 Vision resolution for ZESD 6, joining 362 other school districts throughout the state.
As we develop our new strategic plan, we will ensure that our future goals and objectives align with the key areas of Vision 2030, including preparing students for college, careers, and trades, fostering accountability through strong partnerships, and securing the necessary resources to support student success. This will help us create more opportunities for students to grow, learn, and prepare for their futures.
