Smart Phone-Free Schools Coming Soon!

New policy beginning in 2025

LAUSD is adopting a smart phone-free school policy based on new state law that goes into effect beginning the second semester of 2025. The policy will be phased in over the spring semester in which any smart device (phone or watch) may not be used at all during the instructional day with very limited use before and after school. Our LSLC (Local School Leadership Council) will be finalizing Enadia's implementation of the policy at our next meeting on 11/21. Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. If you would like to address the LSLC before we finalize our school policy, please complete a speaker form to make a public comment. Coffee with the Principal, 11/18 at 8:15 a.m.

Please join me Monday morning for the monthly LAUSD safety topic on substance use awareness. Parents will see a video that is being shown to the students that teaches about safety with medications and the avoidance of substance use. After the presentation, Bianca will share volunteer opportunities for the winter concert and Scholastic Book Fair. The meeting is being moved to the MPR.

Garden Volunteers Needed

This coming Monday and Tuesday Enrich L.A. will be harvesting and sampling veggies from the school garden with the students during their regular class time. If you are an approved volunteer, we would love some extra help! Please reach out to the classroom teacher if you are available to help out. We know that there is some potential volunteer conflict with the Coffee with the Principal meeting.
