Twin Cedars Elementary School

With the updates to the new 24/25 district school calendar, the elementary school hours will be adjusted: School Day Begins at 8:00 a.m. and School Day Ends at 3:45 p.m.

There will not be supervision at school prior to 7:30 a.m. Please do not drop students off at school before this time.

This year we ask that daily student dismissal changes go through Brad in the office @ 641-944-5241. Teachers are often too busy throughout the day to check emails and we want to ensure we don't miss an important note from home regarding pick up procedures. If you choose to send a note to school explaining dismissal changes, please have your child take it to the office first thing in the morning. If you choose to call, please make every effort to call before 3:00 p.m. as Brad will be sharing dismissal information with teachers daily by 3:15 p.m. Thank you in advance for your cooperation with this.

If you are car pick up, please remain in your vehicle and follow the bus line when picking your child up from school. Teachers will guide their students to the correct bus numbers and then busses will leave the elementary and go to the JH/HS to pick up bus riders. Next, teachers will wait with their students and watch for their parents/guardians to pull around under the awning for car pick up. Without a note or phone call, students will be sent to the usual location. We strictly enforce this rule.

Students will be asked to leave cell phones in their backpacks throughout the school day. Any parent concerns or emergencies should be processed through the office.

• Wednesday, September 4 - PTO Meeting at 5:00 p.m. at the elementary school (Join us!)
• Monday, September 9 - No School for students
• Friday, September 13 - 2 hour early-out for Homecoming
• Monday, September 16 - No School for students and staff
• Monday, September 23 - No School for students and staff
• Monday, September 30 - No School for students and staff
