Welcome to the start of a new school year at West View! I hope this message finds you well and that you enjoyed a restful and rejuvenating summer. It is with great excitement that I welcome you back, and I’m thrilled to announce this year’s theme: "Together We Win."

Welcome back to a brand new school year! As we gather once again, I’m thrilled to share some exciting news about the year ahead.

Building on the success of our "All Hands on Deck" Powerhour approach to literacy, we are expanding this dynamic program to include math! This initiative has already made a significant impact on our students' reading skills, and I’m confident it will bring the same success in math. Our goal is to ensure that every student receives the personalized support they need..

Assistant Principal- Mrs. Solverson

I hope you’re all doing well! Although I’ve been part of the West View Team for a few years now, I’m excited to step into a new role as your Assistant Principal!.

I started my journey as a middle school math teacher and loved the energy of my students. But when I had the chance to try something new at the elementary level, I jumped at it! I've worked on reading, math, and behavior support, and I can’t wait to bring all my experiences to this new role.

As a proud mom of three amazing RPS 205 students, I care deeply about our community and schools. I’m really looking forward to getting to know all of you and making our school an even better place to learn and grow. Thank you for welcoming me, and let’s make this year fantastic together!

8/19 : A text and email will be sent to communicate your student's assigned teacher

8/26: Back-to-School Night 5-7pm

8/28: First Day of School 7:15am-2:40pm

9/5-9/20: Pizza and Cookie Dough Fundraiser

10/24: Skate Co Night 5:30-7:30pm

First Day KINDERGARTEN Drop Off 8:00am

Kindergarten parents are welcome to walk their student into the building on the first day of school only at 8:00am (after regular drop off). Once you drop off your student, please join us for the Kindergarten BooHoo Yahoo (8:10am) where we will share a sweet treat and resources.

If you do not need to walk your student in, you may drop off at the regular start time of 7:15am.

Morning Drop off Procedures

Doors Open at 7:15 and lock at 7:35

Morning Arrival: Car drop off students will enter either door A or door N depending on where your car is stopped in the line. Please drop your student off at the "Drop off zone" cones. Please pull ALL the way up. ALL 1st through 5th grade students must enter the building independently. NO PARENTS are able to enter with your child on the first day.

Walkers may enter Door A (front entrance), Door N (facing Huffman Blvd), or Door F (west side of building)

Breakfast: 7:15-7:35 (Breakfast is not served after 7:30)

***Any student arriving after 7:35 is tardy and MUST BE SIGNED IN BY AN ADULT***
