BEAR Talk
March 2025
From the Desk of Mrs. Schrag,
RES Bears,
We are rolling right through the school year, and Spring Break is just around the corner! As we enter this next season, we also begin looking ahead to upcoming assessments. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to showcase the tremendous growth they’ve made throughout the year!
We encourage you to be proactive in setting your child up for success—consistent bedtimes, protein-packed breakfasts, and plenty of positive encouragement go a long way. These assessments can feel long at times, but your support and motivation truly make all the difference!
We are so proud of our BEARS and all their hard work. Keep it up, and enjoy the sunshine as it returns!

Boxtops- Don't forget!
Please download the boxtops app and snap pictures of your receipts. You can choose which class to donate directly too, or do a RES whole school donation. This costs nothing for you and goes straight to your students!
Battle of the Books Team Practices
Monday - Thursday, 7:45am in library
Drop off in AM
Please drop kids off in the AM in the same loading zone you pick them up.
If you need to walk your student in, please pull all the way forward out of the loading zone to do so. This way parents who are dropping off can get where they need to go and you can safely take your time to walk them to the door.
Attendance
We are keeping track of tardies and should a student reach 7 unexcused tardies, they will be sent to the office to serve time after school on the bench. K-2nd grades will serve 15 minutes and 3rd-5th grade will serve 30 minutes. The tardy bell rings at 8:05am, please have your child to school by 8:00am so as not to be late.
POWERSCHOOL
Parents, please update Powerschool as changes happen (ie new phones, address, etc). We need to have to most current information. You can log onto Powerschool anytime to make those changes. If you need assistance, please call the office.
State Testing
State Testing for 3rd, 4th & 5th graders will be in April.
Tips for having your student ready:
*Be sure your student gets enough sleep the night before.
