Elementary parent/teacher conferences will be held on November 5, 6, 7, and 8 in person in your child's classroom. If you have not yet scheduled your conference appointment, please contact the office ASAP at 360-249-4528.

Beacon Elementary students will be dismissed at 12:00 p.m. on these days. Students will still have lunch at school on early release days. We are in session for a full school day on Monday, November 4. There is no school on Monday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day.

Progress reports for the first quarter will be sent home at your child's conference. Your child’s teacher will discuss student progress, meeting student goals, and the implementation of class curriculum. If you have any concerns about your child’s progress, please address the problems at this time. Please make every effort to meet with your child’s teacher at the scheduled time.

We are seeking 4-6 large and 2-3 small faux Christmas trees for our Christmas concert on December 4. If you’re able to lend or donate, please bring them to the main office. Thank you for helping us create a festive setting!

A friendly reminder to families to keep your car tags visible at all times in the car line, parent queue, and curbside pickup areas. This will help our staff to move cars along more efficiently. Additionally, LOT C parking next to the office is reserved for TK families during arrival and dismissal times. Please keep your designated TK parking pass visible when parked in this area. If you are picking up your child early, you may park curbside next to the office, but curbside parking must be clear by 2:15 p.m. to allow space for our buses to pull in. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

First grade parents and families are invited to attend a Veterans Day assembly on Thursday, November 7, at 9:00 a.m. The assembly will be presented by the First grade classes under the direction of Mrs. Allison Fagerstedt, Elementary Creative Arts Teacher. Students should wear red, white, or blue for the performance.

Montesano PTO is hosting a Scholastic Book Fair November 4-8 in the library at Beacon! Students will have an opportunity to shop the book fair during the school day. Parents are encouraged to set up an eWallet for their child so they don't have to send cash to school. (See flyer below for details.)

Families are also welcome to shop the book fair during the following hours:

November 4, 6, 7, 8 : 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

November 5: 8:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. (Night Conferences)

All guests must check in at the Beacon office during school hours.

If you don't have time to come shop in person, you can also check out our book fair online anytime November 4th-17th.

Picture retakes will be held on Tuesday, November 12 at Beacon Elementary School. Students who missed picture day will have photos taken along with anyone who communicated to Jostens that they are unsatisfied with their original photo. Reminder: Do not wear green. Parents will receive an email directly from Jostens PIX with options for purchase.

Great job to all of our students that participated in our Great Pumpkin Reading Challenge. As a school building our students read a total of 57,946 minutes! Way to go Beacon!

Now that the weather is getting colder, the lost & found has been growing! Is your child missing a sweatshirt or jacket? You can check our lost and found online. A link is available on our website or by clicking here: Beacon Lost & Found.

It is very helpful to clearly label personal belongings with your child's name so that lost items may be returned promptly.
