Please help ST to congratulate Riley Taylor, 8th grade Math, who was awarded Olathe's secondary teacher of the year today! Riley represents the amazing work, energy and care that all our staff provide to Summit students each day. His family, district dignitaries, ST students and some staff were able to see Mr. Taylor humbly be announced as Olathe’s Secondary rep, from over 1500 secondary staff across the district. We look forward to cheering him on as he competes for the regional nomination later this year.

Yearbooks will be distributed to students who have paid for one on Monday, May 20 during class. If you missed your opportunity to purchase a yearbook, you may add your student(s) name to a waitlist. The waitlist will be FCFS Yearbook Waitlist The Wait list will close on Friday, May 17 at 11:59PM. If you are able to secure a book you will need to send $30 (cash or check) to the main office. You will receive a confirmation email from Mrs. Gingrich. Books will be delivered to your student on 5/20. Anyone not able to receive one of the extra books purchased will receive an email of regret from Mrs. Gingrich.

Monday, May 20:

Laptops

Your child will be turning in their laptop and charger on Monday, May 20 in their Science class. Any broken devices or missing chargers will be charged to your child’s school account. Please help us remind them to bring these items on the 20th. 8th graders will receive a new laptops at NW.

Tuesday, May 21:

ELA Class - Locker Clean Out

5:30: 8th Grade Class Celebration: We would like to extend an invitation to all 8th grade students and their families to the 8th Grade Awards Night on Tuesday, May 21 at 5:30pm. At this event, every 8th grade student will be recognized for their achievements. Please have your student in the ST Main gym by 5:15 so they can find their seat. After the ceremony, students are invited to stay for an 8th grade Mixer in the Auxiliary Gym. There will be music and concessions available! Students are allowed to dress up for the evening’s events but by no means required. Car pick up from the Mixer is at 8:00p sharp at the Pool Entrance (door letter N).
