Hi Wildcats!

Our PAWs team has planned fun Red Ribbon Week activities this week in support of promoting a healthy lifestyle for all of our Wildcats.

We hope you can join us for Fall Family Night on Friday 10/25, from 4:30-6:30pm to come together as a community for fun, food, and games.

Students are invited to wear their costumes to school on Thursday, Oct. 31 for Halloween. Please remember we are a preschool-5th grade school so we would love if students avoided scary and gory costumes so that little ones are not frightened. Masks can be worn during our Halloween parade, but should be put away after that. Any weapons that are part of a costume (even fake ones) need to be left at home.

Our annual Halloween Parade will start at 9:00 on Oct. 31 and students will circle through the school with their class so that we can see everyone’s costumes. Parents are invited to attend and watch. You may enter campus through the upper gate at 8:45 and can stand on the playground to watch students walk by. After the parade ends you will exit out the top gate. We are happy to have you here, and appreciate you following this procedure.

Due to the many allergies and food sensitivities among our students, if you would like to send something in for a Halloween treat, we request that you send in FOOD FREE options. We encourage items such as pencils, stickers, or bookmarks.

If you are helping with a classroom party and/or activity please refer to the district Smart Snack Standards as you plan. (attached)

Soccer Shots is an enrichment program that teaches children social and emotional skills through the game of soccer. The program runs directly after school on Thursdays until 2:30 P.M. Click here to enroll. Park options for 2-10 year olds are also available.

We're so excited the Book Fair is finally here! Our Wildcats will visit the Book Fair this week during their regularly scheduled class library time and will also have the opportunity to shop during lunch recess on select days. We invite the whole family to join in the Book Fair fun during Fall Family Night on Friday, October 25. The Book Fair will be open from 4:30-6:30pm during the event and we hope to see you there!

Our Fall Family Night is this Friday! Join PAWs for an evening of fun, food and games. There will be everything from a haunted house to a cake walk and raffle! Raffle tickets are $2 and can be purchased in the office all week or at the event for great prizes. We still need many volunteers to help before, during and after the event and we are looking for donations for the cake walk and prizes. Red Ribbon Week

Red Ribbon Spirit week is happening Monday-Friday this week. PAWs has organized activities for the students at lunch on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Your student/s can take part and showcase their spirit each day.

• Thursday: Wear a Movie-Inspired Shirt
• Friday: Crazy Hair Day

Wildcat Run

Our biggest fundraiser of the year, The Wildcat Run, is off and running! If you didn't see the amazing video of some of our dad mascots, check out the Pomerado Elementary or Pomerado Parent Connect Facebook pages. Our students have already hit their first $5,000 goal! It's easy to get your student/s registered. The run is on November 14th so there is still plenty of time to get your students signed up to start fundraising and earning prizes.
