The Arts Council of York County and Rock Hill School District 3 present the Teachers' Choice Youth Art Exhibit Awards
Thursday afternoon, the Arts Council of York County came alive with creativity as the Rock Hill School District hosted its annual Teacher Choice Award Show. This distinguished exhibition celebrated the exceptional talents of elementary, middle, and high school artists, carefully selected by their teachers for their outstanding artistic achievements.
Among the featured young artists were Khloe Duncan, Londyn Bowens, Emma Copper, Audrey Caruthers, and Jade Hear, who proudly represented their schools with their inspiring works. Their pieces, alongside other remarkable student creations, showcased a diverse range of artistic styles, techniques, and mediums, reflecting both skill and imagination.
A special congratulations goes to Audrey Caruthers for earning 3rd place in the Middle School 3D category, a well-deserved recognition of her talent and dedication to her craft.
This exhibition not only highlighted the incredible artistry within the Rock Hill School District but also reinforced the power of art in education, creativity, and community. Congratulations to all the participating artists for sharing their vision and passion!

Each school honoree advances and is now in the running for the District Teacher of the Year, which will be announced in August. We congratulate Mrs. Mitchell for her dedication and for being chosen to represent Rawlinson Road.
RRMS Support Staff of the Year, Freddie Barnes!
Let's Go Raiders
We have chicks! The UP2 class enjoyed some chicken love after trying to incubate chicken eggs. They loved being able to observe the chickens and watch them throughout the day.
It's Flag Football Season!
Our Lady Raider Flag Football team competed in the first games of the season on March 13th. Come out and see them play again on Friday, March 28th at 5:30pm on the Dutchman Creek MS football field.
Ms. Marcano’s students are diving into Dot Plots, discovering how statistics can turn numbers into stories! With hands-on station activities, math class isn’t just about equations—it’s about exploration!

Attention rising 7th grade parents
In accordance with South Carolina Code of Laws and State Regulation, a Tdap vaccine is required for all seventh graders in South Carolina. The Tdap vaccine is a booster that protects against three serious diseases: tetanus, diphtheria, and pertussis (whooping cough). Please plan accordingly to have your child’s TDAP vaccine by the first day of next school year.
If you would like to check if your child has received the required TDAP for 7th grade, please call the school nurse at (803) 981-1527. A letter will be sent home at the end of April for any student that does not have a TDAP documented in the South Carolina immunization database.
