The Friendly Reminder & Frozen Treat Issue
June 25, 2025
Check Your Child's Report Card
In the excitement of summer, you may have forgotten to log into Family Access to check your child's report card. Never fear, this is the friendly reminder issue of 109 News! The report card is one way to understand your child's academic and social progress throughout the year; you can use it to have productive, positive conversations with your child about goals for the coming year!
Checking out (and downloading) this report card is extra important for our outgoing 8th grade families; that report card will come in handy when your child registers for a driver's education class! Once we turn over our system to the new school year, 2025 graduates are no longer active in our system and families will not be able to access their report cards or other information in Family Access.

2+2 = Referendum Task Force Recommendation
At the June 17 Board of Education meeting, Superintendent Mike Simeck thanked the members of the Referendum Task Force for the time and thoughtful input they provided over the course of three meetings. He gave a brief outline of their proposal, which ensures all four elementary schools have equitable amenities, whether through full renovation (Kipling and South Park) or new construction (Walden and WIlmot).
More details about the proposal shared in a presentation at the July 24 meeting. This recommendation will be used as the foundation for continued community engagement and polling starting this fall.
